영문 초록

El Príncipe Constante has been considered like the most exquisite work of Calderon de la Barca, the great spanish dramatist of the 17th century. This theatre treats the real history of the Portugues prince Don Fernando, who died captive with a firm Christian faith. But in this Calderonian Comedia appear the good moors. It's impossible to see this kind of moors in the works of Lope de Vega o Cervantes who are the most representative author in the 17th century. Besides, in Principe Constante we can see the friendship, mutual respect, sympathy, compassion between the Muslims and Christians. This article ascertains the real aspect of the good moors and their essence analyzing their role in the sematic level. Their good image just function in the superficial level, and in the profound level their friendship, mutual respect, sympathy, compassion function like elements in order to emphasize the Constant Prince's constant belief.
