예비교사의 봉사-학습 사례연구

국문 초록

교원양성 교육과정에 여러 가지 변화가 예고된다. 변화 가운데 주목할 것은 교육실습 교과목의 학점을 2학점에서 4학점으로 두 배 확대하면서 현장학교실습은 2학점 이상, 교육봉사활동은 2학점 이내에서 이수하도록 조정함으로써 실제적으로 교육봉사활동을 교원양성 교육과정의 학점으로 인정할 뿐 아니라 독려하게 된다는 점이다. 이러한 제도는 교사의 실천능력 및 전문성을 함양하기 위한 것이라 예견할 수 있겠으나 제도를 신설하는 것만으로 해당능력의 함양을 보장할 수는 없는 일이다. 이에 연구자는 교육봉사 활동에 대한 사전 기초 연구가 필요하다고 보고, 연구자가 지난 3년간 진행하여 온 봉사-학습 활동1)에서 드러난 긍정적 측면과 부정적 측면을 논의함으로써 향후 전개될 교육봉사활동의 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육봉사활동은 대학에서의 학습 내용과 밀접하게 연관되어야 한 다. 둘째, 대학교수와 기관교사의 긴밀한 교류가 필요하며 대학교수 및 기관교사와 봉사자 간의밀착된 협력관계 속에서 지도가 요구된다. 셋째, 봉사 수혜자를 신중하게 선정해야 한다. 봉사자의 능력과 수혜자의 요구를 사전에 조사하여 적합화해야 한다. 넷째, 봉사-학습에 임하는 자세로서, 사회개혁 및 개선의 의지를 갖추도록 해야 한다. 다섯째, 교육봉사활동은 최소한 1년 이상 지속하는 것이 좋으며, 봉사활동 중, 개인적 성찰의 시간을 충분히 갖도록 해야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is not only to anticipate but also manage the 'educational service activities' that every prospective teachers' training program might confront asmandatory curriculum from next year. To accomplish this purpose the researcher tried to consider and figure out what the benefits and pitfalls of Service-Learning so that one might draw out important tips how they are able to deal with the 'educational service activities' successfully.It seems certain that prospective teachers' after school teaching or mentoring activities as Service-Learning that have been lead in the researcher's classes for about three years have much common grounds with 'educational service activities'. As a result, there are four things that might be refered: First, there must be consistencies between the content of educational service activities and the prospective teachers' classroom learning at teacher training program. Second, there must be collaborative relationship between university and virtual schools so that professors and teachers at school are affordable to help prospective teachers in the real context. Third, the needs of the recipient and the ones who serve should meet in accordance with their objectives, demand, and interests so that they adjust themselves while they're doing their work together. Fourth, the educational service activities should last one year at least.
