국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 사회적 기업의 개념과 구성요소를 소개하면서 지역공동체 발전에 사회적 기업이 중요한 이유와 사회적 기업을 통한 지역공동체 발전의 방식을제시하는 것이다. 현실적 배경에서 사회적 기업이 중시되는 이유와 사회적 기업의유형과 목적 등을 설명하였고 지역공동체의 자생적 발전 모형이 강조되는 환경적변화를 설명하였다. 지역공동체의 자생적인 발전을 위해서 사회적 기업의 역할이중요하다는 관점을 제시하였고 사회적 기업중심의 지역공동체 발전전략을 설명하기 위하여 자산기반지역공동체 발전 방식을 제시하였다. 이 전략에 따르면 사회적기업은 조직적 역량뿐만 아니라 소속된 지역공동체의 자산을 개념화하는 지도를 작성하고 특히 다른 기관과의 관계를 설명하는 지도를 토대로 사회적 기업과 지역공동체 자산의 연계를 도모하는 것이 필요하다. 연구의 함의와 결론에서 사회적 기업은 지역공동체의 발전을 위한 사회경제적인 목적의 달성에 용이하고 지역인적자원의 발전에 기여할 수 있다는 점을 제시하고 향후 특정 지역공동체에 대한 실증분석과 사례분석을 통하여 지역의 발전모형을 구축하는 것이 필요함을 설명하였다.

영문 초록

This study is to define the concept, social enterprise and to indicate the relationship between social enterprise and community development. In spite of the fact that the social enterprise can be defined in a variety of ways generally refer to any private activity conducted in the public interest, organized with an entrepreneurial strategy and shose main purpose is not the maximization of profit, but the attainment of certain economic and social goals, and which, through the production of goods and services, brings innovative solutions to problems such as social exclusion and unemployment. These types of organizations can make contribution to community development because of their organic, versatile and hybrid characteristics. The present study brings in asset-based community development(ABCD) method to link social enterprise and community development. ABCD suggests strategies and methods to induce proactive participation from the community settings. In implication and conclusion, lessons for the development of social enterprise and local community are pointed out and future directions for the study of social enterprise are presented.
