국문 초록

淸代書藝史에서 가장 주목할 만한 것은 碑學派의 勃興이다. 淸初는 元․ 明代의 연장기로 법첩에 의하여 古名蹟을 연구하였기 때문에 활달한 行草書가 성하였다. 청대에 이르러 새로운 古法으로써 唐碑나 漢碑에 관심을 갖게 되었고 종래 行草를 중심으로 하고 있던 서법은 楷書․ 隸書다시 篆書의 비중을 높이고 있었다. 청대 中․ 後期乾隆․ 嘉慶年間(1736-1820)에 考證學이 발흥하여 金石學이 발전하면서 篆․ 隸의 연구가 성하였다. 더불어 阮元(1764-1849)의 『南北書派論』․ 『北碑南帖論』주창에 의하여 鄧石如(1743-1805), 桂馥(1736-1805) 등이 이것을 주도하려는 書藝復古의 소리가 높아졌다. 그러므로 古代로 되돌아가 漢․ 魏․ 六朝의 古碑에 착안하여 金石文字의 연구가 성하게 되어 소위 碑學派의 발흥이 일어났다. 이러한 가운데 碑學派의 開祖라 불리는 鄧石如가 등장했다. 그는 淸末民初의 近現代라는 시대적 과도기 속에서 서예뿐만 아니라 詩․ 書․ 畵․ 詞등 다방면의 예술 활동을 한 인물로서 특히 秦篆과 漢隸의 拓本을 집중적으로 연구하고 臨書하여 筆法을 완성시켰다. 鄧石如의 가장 뛰어난 서체는 전서와 예서이며, 전각에서는 晥派와 浙派에 버금가는 鄧派의 印風을 개척하였다. 특히 만년의 작품인 <敖陶孫詩評>을 통해서 등 석여만의 자의적인 서풍을 완성할 수 있었으며 웅장한 가운데 유려한 필치를 보여주었다. 이로써 그의 서체는 전서에서 출발하여 예서로 나아가고, 예서에서 해서로 나아갔으며 해서로부터 행 ․ 초서로 진행해 갔음을 알 수 있었다. 이 같이 모든 면에서 새로운 것에 도전하고 개척하여 鄧書서체의 아름다움과 독자적인 서예세계를 보여준 그의 인생여정은 오늘날에 글씨를 지향하는 후학들에게 무한한 용기와 희망을 안겨다 줄 것은 물론, 서체의 아름다움을 추구하는 방법과 무엇이든 긍정적으로 배우려는 자세 그리고 창작생활의 수많은 교훈을 제시해주고 있다.

영문 초록

What you should pay attention to in the history of Ching's calligraphy is a sudden rise of Be Hak School. The liberal semicursive and cursive style of writing were flourished in early Ching that was extension of Yuan and Ming since traces of old names were researched. Besides, tombstones of Tang or Han were been interested as a new ancient law and calligraphy that was mainly the semicursive and cursive style of handwriting placed more weight on the square style․ornamental seal characters and further seal characters. The studies of seal and ornamental characters were flourished with development of epigraphy and prosperity of bibliographical studies during the middle and the latter period of Ching, Keon Ryung․ Ka Kyung(1736-1820). Moreover the studies on inscriptions became prosperous returning to ancient times with paying attention to old tombstones of Han․We․Yuk Jo at the instance of Wan Won(1764-1849) and voices towards restoration of calligraphy were raised. What is called a sudden rise of Be Hak School sprung up and Wan Baek San In Deong Suk Yeo who was a pioneer of Be Hak School appeared on the basis of tombstones of northern We. Deong Suk Yeo who took an active part in various fields of art such as poetry․handwriting․pictures․lyric poetry etc as well as calligraphy in a transition period of Ching as the founder of Be Hak School particularly conducted intensive research on rubbed copies of seal characters of Jin and ornamental seal characters of Han and completed his own style of penmanship with practicing those characters. This study is to inquire into opinions of prosperity of Ching's Be Hak and overall Deong Suk Yeo's calligraphy and therein describe centering around ornamental seal characters and ratify the effect of his calligraphy on those days and later ages. His own unique willful free style and intention of writing will be looked into by analyzing the beauty of handwriting centering on that was praised highly as a fine piece of work in his later years was written when he was 63 years old. Especially it will be deeply analyzed through the comparison with , a tombstone of Han, which affected . In the end, the effects on Deong Suk Yeo's callighraphy will be inquired into through arts and culture during the period of Ching by putting contents mentioned before together and summarizing and the beauty of ornamental seal characters in priority will be analyzed with getting a grip on reasons that he got to write creative handwriting.
