<잠피라의 결혼>에 나타난 통과의례 ‘결혼’에 대한 모티프 분석

국문 초록

코슈북에게 있어서 마을은 그리움의 대상, 신뢰와 전통, 민속학과 지리적 근원 그리고 국가와 사회의 실체로서 존재하지만 때때로 국가의 존엄과 자유를 위한 투쟁 그리고 사회적 봉기가 출발하는 곳이기도 하다. 루마니아 문학에 있어 고전적 가치를 총체적으로 묘사한 시인의 독창성은 시대의 미학, 존재의 역사와 민중의 영감에 동의하는 예술가의 양심과 시적 창조 그리고 마을의 삶에서 영감된 시들 속에 존재한다. 그의 시는 단일 주제에 대한 심화된 연구의 측면을 보여주고 있는데, 산과 들로 둘러싸인 그의 ‘마을’은 전통적 삶 속에서 솟아난 경이로움이자 민족학상의 근원이 되고 있다. 코슈북의 ‘마을’은 전원적, 민속적, 관습과 전통의 요람, 루마니아 민족의 미덕이자 덕목을 상징하고 있다. 알렉산드리나 에미네스쿠와 마찬가지로 예술창작에 있어 민속 문학으로부터 큰 영향을 받은 시인은 루마니아 신화와 민속학적 동기 속에서 루마니아의 마을에 대한 서정적 연구를 지속하였고, 이러한 노력 속에서 시인은 결혼과 죽음처럼 마을에서 일어나는 일상의 삶이 담긴 사건을 표현한 민요 서사시를 창작해낼 수 있었다. 그의 서사시 <잠피라의 결혼(Nunta Zamfirei)>은 동화와 민속적 요소를 통해 표출된 마을의 즐거운 사건이자 전통적 민속 축연인 시골의 결혼식을 보여주는 대표적인 작품이다. <잠피라의 결혼>은 의례 행위와 인물 묘사에 있어서 내용상 ‘농촌의 결혼’ 그리고 형식상 ‘귀족의 결혼’모습을 보여주는 독특한 작품이다. 현실적인 요소들의 치장과 더불어 우화, 축제 그리고 신화의 테두리 안에서 행하여지는 결혼의 음조와 작시법의 새로움 그리고 ‘불가해적인 신비로 상징되는 관습에 대한 일반민중의 맹신’은 이 작품이 코슈북 예술의 전형이 되도록 만들어주었으며, 삶 속에 꿈을, 현실 속에 동화를, 신화 속에 역사를 환기시 켜주고 있다. 동화의 세계 속에 펼쳐진 의례의 재구성은 마을의 삶속에서 행하여지는 관습의 예술적 진행과 그에 따른 문학의 채색를 보여주고 있다. <잠피라의 결혼>에는 현실과 동화의 세계 속에서 한바탕 소란을 피우는 신랑, 신부의 결혼식이 펼쳐지고 있다. 인종과 민속적 요소가 결합된 이 곳에는 동화와 신화 속에 잠들어 있던 인물들이 깨어나 시간과 공간을 초월하며 즐기는 결혼식의 전형을 보여주고 있다. 루마니아 인들에게 있어 결혼은 누구나 꼭 거쳐야하는 통과의례의 중간단계이자, 동시에 흙과 ‘마을’에 뿌리를 내리고 사는 공동체의 삶이 추구하는 이상적인 모습을 확인시켜주는 상징이 되고 있다.

영문 초록

The image of rural village appears in every moment in Coşbuc's poems. The rural village represents for Coşbuc a subject of yearning, tradition & confidence, geographical source of folklore, substance of nation and community etc. The poet's originality which describes generally his artistic value in poems is due to esthetics of epoch, artist's conscience, poetical creation, plentiful inspiration. As his poems show us the aspect of profound research about diverse themes, his 'rural village' becomes the ethnological source and the marvelous place where rose above the traditional life of peasants. Thus Coşbuc's rural village symbolizes the morality and virtue of Romanian nation as a cradle of custom and of folkloric tradition. Like Alecsandri or Eminescu, Coşbuc was also influenced by folklore and oral literature and he continued the lyric research related with Romanian rural village in the motive of myth and fairy tale. After hard work the poet created finally epic-ballads which express the happenings and events of the country life as wedding or funeral rites. His epic is the masterpiece which shows typical wedding ceremony as the traditional folk feast and joyful event through elements of fairy tale and folklore. Being the behavior of rites and description of characters, is a special work which has the image of 'rural wedding' for substance and the image of 'noble wedding' for formality. Through a poetical decoration realized by real elements, allegory, feast, new versification, tune of matrimony within the myth, rhythm of rite and the public confidence for the mystic customs etc. this literary work becomes one of the typical works of Coşbuc's arts and rouses dreams in the life, fairy tales in the reality and history in the myth. As for the image of the rite of passage 'marriage' through which he transfers the state of country spirit, Coşbuc has used willingly the fairy world . In the , the wedding ceremony of bride and bridegroom unfolds as a pleasant disturbance in the world mixed between reality and fairy tale. In this place combined with folk and ethnical elements, characters awake from the sleep of myth and fairy tales and they take pleasure in this wedding ceremony which transcend time and space. For all of Romanians the wedding is the middle stage of rites of passage which everybody have to pass through, and in the same time it becomes a symbol which confirms the ideal life of community which takes root in the ground and the traditional rural village.
