영문 초록

Keeping in mind the various definitions and concept of life and its essential nature, life and home violence have become a very important issue, and discussion of life is naturally followed by the discussion of home. Family and life, and the problem of life and home violence is ever increasing, and now that it has been revealed that home is closely related to each individual's life and emotional behavior problems, this problem of life and home violence seems timely. In this paper, prior to discussing home violence, the function and meaning of home and its relation to life is first examined; then, the current condition of home violence and its causes and results are examined; and then we will explore how home violence destroys life and the quality of life and what kind of countermeasures should be taken. The basic function and role of home is to foster and maintain our physical life as well as emotional life, and to foster the basic ability of social life. Since body and mind are closely related to the health of sociality, life and home are obligatory to each other. It could be said that the unit of life and living is not in the individual but in the home. Violence at home occurs in many forms - spouse abuse, child abuse, beating of parents or the elderly, ets. - and this phenomenon has reached a serious level, In order to understand the cause behind such home violence, multilateral views are necessary. We need to consider the individual trait of the abuser and the victim as well as the relationship between the two people, the general family atmosphere and environment, social circumstance of the family, the social aspect, and lastly, the cultural point of view. Examining the cause of home violence from the individualistic factor and family relationship and socio-cultural factor, it becomes clear that ultimately, the most important factor is whether the family si functioning properly or not. The question is whether the family structure and role is functioning properly and abuse can be concluded as the outcome of a malfunctioning family. Home violence is the biggest destroyer of life and is also the most frightening and serious violence. This is because home violence, amongst any other violence behaviors, is the most common and its influence most seriously destroys our quality of life. The present society may reflect the best development in civilization but the culture resulting from this development fails to improve, destroying humanity and morals which results in the confusion of values and behaviors. One cannot be a peaceful person without a peaceful family background. A person brought up in a peaceful and loving family atmosphere has the dignity and respect for life as well as the appreciation for life and neighborly love. Hence, home is the last fortress that we must defend. We must put all our efforts and defend it at any cost.
