경제적인 경호수행비서의 역할모형에 관한 탐색적 연구

국문 초록

VIP는 실무적인 일을 떠나, 적재적소에 전무 인력을 배치해 주고, 주요 업무에 대한 계획, 실행, 그리고 통제를 하는 과정에서 정책적인 방향을 제시하여 의사 결정 등의 주된 임무수행을 하게 되는데, 이러한 일반적 일상의 업무에서 국내외 출장과 같은 공식행사에서 비공식 또는 사적인 업무에 이르기까지 VIP들의 최 측근에서 그들의 손과 발이 되어 최대한의 안전 속에서 일상의 업무와 사생활을 할 수 있도록 최상의 서비스를 하는 것이 바로 수행비서의 역할이다 본 연구에서는 단순한 사무 보조나 손님안내 수준의 비서나 신변보호의 경호 업무에서 벗어나 전문적인 지식과 사려, 분별, 양식, 빠르고 정확한 업무를 보좌, 조언 나아가 대행까지도 할 수 있는 경제적이고 이상적인 전문 비서의 성격을 갖춘 경호적 개념의 수행비서의 역할을 고찰하여 다음과 같은 결론을 내렸다 수행비서는 VIP의 안전을 보장하고 고유 업무를 충실히 할 수 있도록 “사무 관리자(Office manager)" "교육훈련 관리자(Training manager)" "정보 관리자(Information manager)" "고객 관리자(Customer relations manager)" "촉진자(Facilitator)" "건강 관리자(Health manager)" "안전 관리자(Safety manager)"의 역할을 해야 하며, 사무비서와 비교하여 수행비서는 ”건강 관리자(Health manager)" "안전 관리자(Safety manager)"라는 특징적인 역할을 한다 이러한 자질을 갖추려면, 먼저 일선의 경호관련학과에서 수행비서의 업무에 관한 지식을 사전에 파악하여 실무교육을 강화하여야 할 것이다

영문 초록

The VIP is not directly involved in day-to-day operations, rather, s/he is responsible for core activities such as the allocation of expert workforce in suitable positions, and decision-making for the planning, implementation, and management of key projects As the VIP's immediate entourage, the escort assistant acts as the hands and feet of the VIP, assisting in the VIP's general day-to-day responsibilities, business travel, domestic and overseas, and unofficial as well as personal undertakings The role of the escort assistant consists of providing the best possible assistance so that the VIP may pursue her/his responsibilities and private life in the safest possible environment The present study reflects on the role of the escort assistant who doubles as security personnel, equipped with the qualities of an efficient and ideal professional assistant, who provides more than mere administrative or ushering assistance, or security service for ensuring personal safety, and is equipped with expertise, thoughtfulness, discernment, sophistication, creativity and quick and accurate judgment, who can read the VIP's thoughts without words being exchanged, and who can assist the VIP in her/his daily duties and possibly even serve as a proxy The conclusions of the study are as follows The escort assistant must act as an office manager, training manager, information manager, customer relations manager, facilitator, health manager, and safety manager, safeguarding the person of the VIP and enabling the VIP to fulfill her/his role Unlike an administrative assistant, the escort assistant performs distinctive additional functions as the VIP's health and safety manager It is vital that security training programs anticipate the functions of the escort assistant, and reinforce practical training in this area so as to cultivate the above-mentioned requisite qualities
