다문화 가정 학생의 읽기 능력에 관한 사례 연구

국문 초록

한국의 다문화 현상이 진행됨에 따라 국제 결혼 가정이 증가하며 최근 들어 이주여성의 부적응, 2세대 자녀들의 교육 문제가 한국 사회에서 중요한 화두가 되고 있다. 다문화 가정 학생은 읽기에서 어려움을 겪고 있는데, 이는 결혼 이주 여성인 외국 출신 어머니와 분리해서 생각할 수 없다. 다문화 가정 학생은 공교육에 진입한 이후에도 어머니의 사회∙문화적 배경이 다문화 가정 학생에게 큰 영향력을 미칠 것이다. 따라서 이러한 문제를 인식하고, 다문화 가정 학생의 읽기 능력에 대한 조사를 하였다. 그 결과, 다문화 가정 학생은 읽기와 관련하여 사회∙문화적 배경 지식(스키마)을 활용하게 되는데, 이때 어머니의 사회∙문화적 영향을 받고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 사회문화적 문식성의 기저에 해당하는 사회문화적 지식은 모어 화자의 수준에 동일하게 도달하기 어려운 면이 존재한다. 따라서 다문화 가정 학생에게 사회문화적 배경과 관련한 읽기 교육이 고려될 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

As multiculturalism phenomenon progresses in Korea, the international marriage families have increased, and the immigrant women's maladjustment and their second generation immigrants' education have recently become important topic in Korean society. Students from the multicultural families have difficulty in reading, and this cannot be separated from their mothers who are marriage immigrant women. After the students from multicultural families enter the public education, the socio-cultural background of their mothers will have big influence on the students. Therefore, being aware of such a problem, the research has been done about the reading ability of the student from multicultural families. As a result, the students from multicultural families use socio-cultural influence. In addition, there exist difficult phases not to be able to reach the equivalent level of the mother tongue speakers in socio-cultural knowledge which corresponds to the base for socal-cultural rhetorical embellishment. Accordingly, the effort to raise the socio-cultural background knowledge of the students from multicultural families and their parents basically cannot help meeting the limitation. Therefore, together with the rhetorical embellishment improvement education for the learners from multicultural families and their parents, the education about multicultural complex rhetorical embellishment needs
