성찰일지 분석을 통한 이러닝 성인학습자의 학습 전략 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 이러닝을 통해 학습을 수행하는 성인학습자들이 주로 사용하는 학습전략을 탐색하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 학습자가 직접 작성한 성찰일지를 활용하였으며 최종적으로 4주간의 성찰일지 463부에 대한 내용 분석을 통해 주요 학습전략과 비효율적인 학습을 초래하는 학습행태를 도출하였다. 연구 결과, 이들은 전통적인 면대면 학습에서 사용하던 학습전략을 상당 부분 전이하여 사용하는 것으로 나타났고 구체적인 종류로는 리허설, 예습, 이해점검을 통한 자기규제, 요약/정리/생성적 노트쓰기, 부가자료의 활용, 적용 및 활용, 시간관리, 학습환경 관리, 동료학습, 태도/의지/주의집중 조절 전략이 제시되었다. 또한 이들은 온라인 학습 정보를 그대로 이해하고 해석하는데 어려움을 느끼고 있었고 이를 극복하기 위해 예습, 반복, 부가자료 활용 등과 같은 학습전략을 사용하였으며 이 과정에서 온라인 학습정보를 아날로그 자료로 변환하여 사용하는 경우가 많았다. 아울러, 효과적인 학습을 방해하는 비효율적 학습행태로서 일정관리를 하지 못하여 한꺼번에 몰아서 학습하는 행태, 업무 및 가정 일로 지속적이고 집중적인 학습을 하지 못하는 행태, 수동적이고 소극적인 학습행태를 가장 빈번하게 지적하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 성인학습자들의 효과적인 이러닝 수행을 지원하기 위한 방안을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research was to investigate the adult learners' learning strategies in e-Learning environments. To achieve this purpose, the 436 reflection journals which was written for 4 weeks by the learners were collected to analyze and derive the effective learning strategies and ineffective learning behaviors. The research results are as follows : adult learners use the learning strategies as same as those of face to face learning environments. Namely, they transfer the traditional learning strategies to the e-Learning environments effectively. The kinds of strategies mainly used were rehearsal, preparation, comprehension monitoring & self-regulation, summarizing and generative note-taking, utilizing a reference materials, application and utilization, time-management, managing of study environment, peer learning and control of attitude, intention and attention. The adult learners faced with difficulties in understanding the online learning information directly, so they used preparation(ex. read a teaching materials before listening to the online lecture), repetition(ex. read a teaching materials two or three times), utilizing a reference materials(ex. search and refer the related web sites) and they wanted to study with the printed materials. In addition, the learners presented the inefficient learning behaviors. First, they cram online lesson because of not being able to keep their learning schedule, and they couldn't concentrate on the study by interrupting of personal tasks and business. and also, they took part in learning passively without interaction or critical thinking. Based on these results, the suggestions for more effective e-Learning to adult learners were presented.
