정신지제학생의 성격특성 분석을 통한 교육적 중재방안 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 정신지체학생들이 보여주는 성격특성을 고찰하고 이에 대한 교육적 중재방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구의 내용을 살펴보면 먼저, 정신지체학생들은 외적 통제소재, 높은 외부지향성, 낮은 효능동기와 성공기대감, 긍정적 · 부정적 반응경향성과 함께 부정적 자아개념과 높은 충동성, 우울, 불안 등의 심리적 특성을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 정신지체학생들이 나타내는 이러한 성격 특성들은 유전적인 특성이라기보다는 부정적 경험의 누적으로 인한 것으로 밝혀짐에 따라 성공경험과 즐거움이나 흥미를 유발할 수 있는 활동을 제공하고 목표설정훈련과 귀인훈련, 사회성 훈련과 같은 전략들이 이들의 긍정적 성격형성에 유용한 전략들이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서 살펴본 정신지체학생의 성격특성과 이를 위한 교육적 중재방안은 고려한다면 그들의 행동이나 수행에 긍정적인 변화를 줄 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 교육의 효과를 극대화시키고 학교뿐만 아니라 지역사회에 잘 적응하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the present study was to explore an educational interventions through personality of the mental retarded. Students with mental retardation(MR) show the traits of personality-external locus of control, high outerdirectedness, low expectancy of success and effectance motivation, positive-and negative reaction tendency and so forth. These traits result in accumulated failure experience and negative interaction experience, they can be changed. Educational interventions for students with mental retardations were as follows; First, success experience was effective for internal responsibility for failure as well as for successes. Second, goal setting conference and attribution training were effective for all the positive change. Third, in addition, educational interventions for positive personality were social skill training, providing good experience, social interaction methods and so on. It can be inferred from the above conclusions that students with mental retardation should be provide chances to success as possible or goal setting conference, attribution training and social skill training in order to prevent their personality from being adversely affected.
