초등학생의 태권도 수련유무가 학교생활태도 및 정신건강에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학생의 태권도 수련유무에 따른 학교생활태도와 정신건강에 어떠한 차이가 있는가를 규명하여 초등학생 및 학부모, 교사, 일선 태권도 지도자에게 태권도 수련의 중요성을 인식시키는데 연구의 필요성이 있다. 그 결과, 태권도 수련유무에 따른 학교생활태도는 태권도 수련자가 비 수련자보다 정신건강은 비 수련자가 수련자보다 높은 것으로 나타났고, 태권도 수련자의 학교생활태도의 차이는 남자보다 여자, 고학년보다 저학년, 핵가족보다 대가족이 높았으며 정신건강은 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 또한 학업, 수련강도, 교사, 교우에 관한 학교생활태도에서 수련을 오래한 집단이 높게 나타났다. 학교생활태도와 정신건강과의 관계는 학업, 교유, 규칙에 관한 태도에서 우울감, 적대감, 불안감이 부(-)의 방향으로, 교사에 관한 태도는 우울감, 적대감에서 부(-)의 방향으로 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 초등학생 태권도 수련자의 학교생활태도는 정신건강의 하위변인인 우울감, 적대감, 불안감 모두 통계적으로 유의하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to inform elementary school students, their parents and teachers of the importance of the training by figuring out what differences the Taekwondo training made in school life attitude and mental health and to prepare the basic data which help trainers to improve the trainee's school attitude and mental health by figuring out differences depending on the trainee's demographic variable. At result, in school life attitude depending on Taekwondo trainee's or non-trainee's, Taekwondo trainee's showed higher school life attitude while non-trainee's showed the higher mental health. Among trainee's, female trainee's have higher attitude than male, and the senior students were higher than junior in attitude to class. Attitude to class and rules was higher in a large family. In difference between school life attitudes, trainee's trained longer the higher attitude and tended to fl the training more endurable. The trainee's trained longer showed the lower mental health, and those feeling more difficult in training tended to have higher mental health. Finally, school life attitude affected all sub-variables of mental health.
