성인여성학습자의 학습욕구와 고등교육기회 접근형태간의 불일치 현상 탐구

국문 초록

고등교육기회 획득 형태를 중심으로 성인여성학습자 즉 아줌마의 학습욕구와 교육제도간의 불일치 현상을 탐구하였다. 본 연구에서는 정규 고등교육과정에서 성인여성학습자들이 4년제 대학(교)보다는 전문대학, 국 공립학교보다는 사립학교 그리고 이공계열보다는 인문사회계열로 편중되는 현상 등을 교육통계연보 자료 등을 분석해본 결과 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 현상은 성인학습자이기 때문에 나타나는 것으로 여성성에 의한 결과가 아님을 학령기 여성학습자와의 비교를 통해 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 고등교육기회 접근 가능성의 여부에 따른 결과로서 성인여성 학습자의 학습욕구와 교육제도 간의 불일치 현상으로 해석할 수 있다. 따라서 성인여성학습자의 학습욕구와 교육제도간의 불일치 현상을 해소하기 위해서는 고등교육의 입학기회 확대뿐만 아니라 입학 후 성인여성학습자의 학습욕구에 맞는 다양한 교육제도에 대한 연구와 개발이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the inconsistency between female adult leaners' learning desire and the educational system focused on the access of higher education. The analysis based on the data acquired from 「Statistical Yearbook of Education」 showed that female adult leaners prefer colleges to universities, public schools to private schools and the humanities to the faculty of science and engineering. As compared with school-aged female leaners, this phenomenon was caused by characteristics of the adult leaners not by their femininities. This phenomenon can be regarded as the access type difference to higher education of adult learners, which are caused by the inconsistency between female adult learners' learning desire and the educational system. In order to solve the inconsistency between female adult leaners' learning desire and an educational system, it is necessary to study and develop various educational system for female adult leaners' learning desire, and to expand higher education opportunity.
