비즈니스서비스업 기업규모에 따른 집적경제의 영향

국문 초록

본 논문은 개별기업자료를 사용하여, 주요 지식기반서비스업인 비즈니스서비스업의 기업규모별 생산성 결정요인을 실증분석 하였다. 선진국의 선행연구에서와 같이, 본 연구결과에서도 집적경제가 국내 비즈니스서비스업의 생산성에 중요한 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였다. 비즈니스 서비스업 생산성에 영향을 주는 주요요인은 노동의 질을 의미하는 1인당 임금과 기업이 입지한 지역의 산업구조이었다. 비즈니스서비스업의 기업규모가 클수록 고부가가치 노동력의 중요성이 커졌다. 정책적으로 주목할 점은 20인 미만 규모의 비즈니스 서비스업의 경우, 유사한 서비스업이 발달한 지역에 입지한 기업들이 더 높은 생산성을 갖는 집적경제를 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The determinants of the productivity according to the company size of the business service industry which is one of the major knowledge-based service industries were empirically analyzed in this research using data of 2,206 companies. It was proved that agglomeration economies had significant influence on the productivity of the business service industry in this research like the results of previous researches. The critical factors which affect the productivity of the business service industries are the wage of per head of employees which means the quality of labor and the industrial structure of the area where the company was located. The bigger the size of the companies was, the more influential the higher value added labor was. In particular, the productivity of the companies which had fewer than 20 employees was influenced by where the companies were located. That is, the result of this research suggested that agglomeration economies were the effective determinant of the productivity in those companies. We should note that agglomeration economies substantially and positively influenced the productivity of the business service companies which have fewer than 20 employees.
