청소년 모방 자살사고의 심리적 기제에 관한 탐색

국문 초록

최근 자살률은 교통사고율을 능가할 정도로 심각해지고 있다. 특히 청소년의 47%가 자살충동을 느낀 적이 있다고 보고할 정도로 청소년자살은 심각한 사회문제가 되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 청소년자살의 심각성을 파악해보고, 청소년기 발달적 특징과 문화정체감 혼란이 청소년의 모방자살에 미치는 영향을 탐색해보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 13세부터 22세까지 중․고․대학생 450명이며, 연구조사기간은 2007년 6월 7일부터 6월 25일까지였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한번 이상 자살충동을 느낀 청소년은 208명(46.2%), 한번 이상 자해나 자살시도를 경험한 청소년은 76명(16.9%), 심각하게 자살을 고민한 적이 있는 청소년은 214명(47.5%)으로 청소년자살의 심각성을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 개인주의가 강한 청소년은 집단주의가 강한 청소년에 비해 심리적 행복감을 느끼지 못했지만, 사회부적응을 겪고 있지는 않았다. 셋째, 개인주의가 강한 청소년이 심리적 불행감을 느낀다고 해서, 우울증상을 보이지는 않았다. 즉, 자기도피적 사고를 보이지 않았고, 오히려 미래에 대해 비현실적 낙관태도를 보였다. 마지막으로, AMOS 구조방정식을 통해 청소년의 모방자살에 관한 연구가설모형을 검증한 결과, 문화정체감 혼란으로 인한 청소년의 심리적 불행감은 주요사건(예, 학업성적)에 대해 유의한 우울유발적 귀인을 촉진시켰다. 개인주의가 강한 청소년의 이런 경향은 유명인의 자살(예, 故 이은주)이 하나의 기폭제가 되어 심리적 불행감에서 벗어날 수 있는 일은 그들과 동일시하거나 그들의 자살행동에 동조하는 것이라는 믿는 규범동조가 자살사고를 유발시켜, 결국 모방자살에 이르게 된 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

Recently Suicide rates have recently increased to the extent of even get serious as much as exceeding traffic accident rates. Nearly half especially, it is reported that 47% of adolescents (47%) have been reported to have ever felt the impulse to kill themselves leading to and so adolescent suicide becoming became a serious social issue. Therefore, the purpose of the study was to grasp seriousness of adolescent suicide and (Ed- there is no need to ‘grasp the seriousness of adolescent suicide’ this is already well recognized as you have stated in the two sentence above) to investigate the an effect of developmental characteristics of an adolescence and cultural identify confusion on adolescent copycat suicide. The research was conducted from June 7 to 25, 2007 and the subjects were investigated with 450 middle school, high school and university students aged from 13 years old to 22 years old from June 7, 2007 to June 25, 2007. The results were as follows. First, we could know seriousness of adolescent suicide as(Ed- again, you are repeating: the seriousness of adolescent suicide is well recognized) 208(46.2%) adolescents had who felt the impulse to kill themselves more than once, 76(16.9%) had adolescents who experienced self-injury or suicide attempt more than once and 214(47.5%) had experienced adolescents who have ever been in a serious suicidal ideation. Second, adolescents with a strong individualism felt less didn't feel a psychological happiness than those in comparison with adolescents with a collectivism, but didn't go through psychosocial maladjustment. Third, adolescents with a strong individualism didn't suffer have depression despite their lack of though they didn't feel a psychological happiness. Namely, they didn't suffer have a psychosocial maladjustment or escape from the self but rather had an unrealistic optimism for the future. Finally, from as the results of analyzing a causal model about adolescent copycat suicide using AMOS, (Ed- define?) adolescents's adolescents' psychological unhappiness by cultural identify confusion promoted significant depressogenic attribution about main accidents (academic achievement level) (Ed- I don’t understand: how is ‘(academic achievement level)’ an example of ‘main accidents’? Please try to clarify). This Such a tendency was amplified by the suicide of a public characters' suicide (the deceased actress Lee, Eun Joo) and it was appeared that suicide incidents accidents were caused by a pathological identification and a normative social influence in which adolescents, in their belief they believed, followed their suicide acts to escape from their own a psychological unhappiness by committing and came to commit an copycat suicide.
