  This study focused on the discordance of occupation and wage between the actual construction site and the inquiry. So, we compared the actual occupation on site with that on inquiry and tried to adjust the difference on the basis of site rationally. In addition, we tried to seek how to set the wage difference between the site and the inquiry. The main results from this study are as followings.
  First, we eliminated or established newly various occupations on the basis of the site. As the result, 29 occupations are decreased, so, total number of the inquiry occupations becomes 116 from 145. Details are that 45 are deleted, 16 are created, and 26 are changed their names or definitions.
  Second, we suggested that a revision wage index be introduced as the method to minimize the wage difference according to a skill degree and a region. A skill wage index means the standard index in order to reflect different wages according to a skill degree on the orderer"s prime cost. For example, setting up the skilled worker"s wage of individual occupation as the basis, we can calculate the foreman"s wage or the half-skilled worker"s wage of the occupation by using the skill wage index. And, a regional wage index means the standard index in order to reflect different wages according to a region on the orderer"s prime cost. Using the inquiry data, the inquiry agency make the regional wage index of 17 regions and report them. Then the orderer can calculate their own region"s wage by using the regional wage index. But, if some occupations are unique to their region, they should be allowed not to be applicable to the index. Therefore, according to these indexes, the wage in the orderer"s prime cost should be calculated as followed; reported wage ×(1 ±the skill wage index/100 ± the regional wage index/100).
  In order to realize our improvement schemes, two steps are needed. The first step is possible through just improvement of this inquiry without other condition"s changes. 1) At the survey stage, a occupation should be separate into three; high degree, middle degree, low degree. 2) After survey, the inquiry agency make the skill wage index and the regional wage index. 3) At the wage report stage, the inquiry agency report the individual wages with these indexes and the index manual. 4) At the use stage, the orderers apply wage to their prime production cost by calculating with these indexes.
  The second step is possible with other condition"s changes. That is, in other data newly created occupations in inquiry should be established newly also.
