국문 초록

  본 연구의 목적은 집단미술치료 프로그램이 유아의 자아개념에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 데 있다. 연구 대상은 G시에 소재한 O유치원의 만4세 유아 20명을 대상으로 이현경(2004)의 자아개념 검사를 실시하여 이들 중 자아개념 점수가 낮은 3명을 선정하였다. 실험에 참여한 유아들은 집단미술치료 프로그램을 주 1회, 40분씩, 9회기동안 적용받았다. 연구도구로는 자아개념 검사, K-HTP 검사, 언어-그림 관계 척도가 사용되었다. 또한 프로그램 효과의 질적 분석은 각 회기별로 아동들의 언어표현과 행동, 태도 등을 관찰하여 기록한 것을 기반으로 이루어졌다. 본 연구에서 나타난 주요한 결과로는 첫째, 집단미술치료 프로그램이 유아의 자아개념 변화에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 언어-그림 관계 점수가 높을수록 유아의 자아개념 변화에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 친구관계가 좋아질수록 유아의 자아개념 변화에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 알 수 있다. 이상의 결과들은 집단미술치료 프로그램이 자아개념이 낮은 유아의 자아개념을 긍정적으로 변화시키는 데 효과가 있음을 나타내며, 특히 주목할 점은 긍정적 자아개념의 변화는 사회적 관계의 증진을 통해서 일어난다는 것이다.

영문 초록

  The purpose of this study is to find the effectiveness of the group art therapy program on self-concept of young children. For the study, three children with lowest self-concept level were picked among 20 young children under 4 years old from O kindergarten in G city after the self-concept test was done. The children had the group art therapy program for 40 minutes a week, total 9 times. Self-Concept assessment and K-HTP test and Counselling-Art Relationship Scale were used for the experiment. The qualitative analysis for the effectiveness of program is based on the record of observing the children"s language, behavior, and attitude in each experiment. The main results from the study are as follow. First, there was a significant difference in the result of the group art therapy program to the children"s self-concept changing. Second, the result in children"s self-concept changing was significantly higher as counselling-art relationship scale was higher. Third, the result in children"s self-concept changing was significantly higher as peer relationship was enhancing. As the result shows, the group art therapy program is effective on enhancing self-concept of young children those with low self-concept level. Also, it shows that the significant changing in self-concept is from the improvement of social relationship.
