국문 초록

  본 실증분석은 화주기업들의 제3자 물류(3PL)에 대한 제 활용요인들이 3PL 활용률에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를 파악하기 위한 목적에서 출발하였다. 이를 위해 외국 및 국내 선행연구를 통해 연구 동향 및 주요 이슈들이 무엇인가에 대하여 살펴보았다. 본 실증분석에서는 이전 연구에서 제시된 변수들뿐 아니라 3PL 활용에 영향을 줄 수 있는 항목들을 첨가하여 분석하였다. 주요 변수로서는 3PL 활용이유, 과거 3PL업체가 제공한 물류서비스에 대한 평가, 3PL기업이 제공한 물류서비스에 대한 만족도, 전문 컨설팅업체의 이용여부, 화주기업내 물류시스템(부서유무, 활용여부, 평가)의 존재유무 등이었다. 3PL활용률과 제 요인들에 대한 분석방법으로서는 OLS(최소자승법) Analysis Model및 Tobit Truncated Analysis Model을 사용하였으며. 3PL활용여부와 제 요인들에 대한 분석은 Lcgit Analysis Model을 사용하였다.
  상기 세 가지 분석모델을 활용한 결과 다음과 같은 결과가 나왔다. 첫째, 화주기업 내 물류시스템의 존재는 제3자 물류 활용에 부정적 영향을 미치는 결과가 도출되었다. 둘째, 3PL서비스에 대한 평가, 3PL 제공 서비스에 대한 만족도는 화주기업의 제3자 물류 활용에 긍정적인 영향을 준다는 결과가 도출되었다. 셋째, 전문 컨설팅업체 이용여부에 대해서는 분석모델에 의해 제3자 물류 활용에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 결과와 통계적으로 유의하지 못한 결과가 동시에 나왔다. 넷째, 제3자 물류업체 활용이유와 관련된 분석에서는 분석모델에 관계없이 물류비 절감 항목에서는 제3자 물류 활용에 긍정적 영향을 준다는 결과가 도출되었지만, 그 외의 원인들에 대해서는 모델에 따라 상이한 결과를 보여 주었다.
  이 결과에 의해 제3자 물류업체는 고객기업인 화주기업에 대하여 경영 투명성 확보, 전문인력 양성, 물류서비스 개선노력, 다양한 비즈니스 모델 개발 등에 의해 그 신뢰성과 만족도를 향상시켜 제3자 물류를 활성화해 나가야 한다는 시사점이 도출되었다.

영문 초록

  This empirical analysis has the purpose of finding out how some decision-making factors of 3PL service influence the 3PL usage ratio of the shippers. The variables used in this analysis are the reason of 3PL utilization, the assessment of performance done by 3PL service providers, customer satisfaction of 3PL services, utilization of professional consulting firms, and the existence of logistics system within shipper companies as well as those variables used by the previous studies both domestically and overseas. In order to perform the empirical analysis, this study used three analysis tools, such as OLS, Tobit Truncated Analysis, and Logit Analysis Model.
  The result of the study was as follows; first. the existence of logistics system within shipper companies showed negative influence of 3PL utilizations. This result shows that the marketing concept of 3PL service providers should focus on the benefits of 3PL usage such as the availability of core-competence, the possibility of cost-sabing and etc. The 3PL service providers also need to provide success story of shippers who utilized 3Pl services to motivate them.
  Second, the assessment system of 3PL service and the customer satisfaction of 3PL service showed positive influence of 3PL utilization for shippers. Third, the existence of using professional consulting firms showed both negative and positive influence of 3PL utilization for shippers. Fourth, The reason of 3PL utilization showed positive result in terms of logistics cost-saving regardless of analysis models.
  This study implies that if 3PL service providers want to get more market shares, they should enhance the reliability and customer satisfaction through ensuring transparency, securing more professional staff, improving service quality and developing value-added business models.
