부모지원-가정중재가 청각장애 아동의 의사소통 기술에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

  이 연구는 부모지원-가정중재가 청각장애 아동의 의사소통 기술에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 실시하였다. 청각장애 아동의 의사소통 기술 향상을 위하여 부모를 지원하고, 부모들이 자연스런 일상생활 맥락 속에서 다양한 활동들을 통하여 상호작용할 수 있는 가정중재를 실행하였다. 부모가 의사소통 기술 등에 대한 지원을 받고, 가정중재를 실시했을 때, 청각장애 아동의 의사소통 기술이 습득되고 일반화 및 유지되는지를 알아보고자, 보청기를 착용한 청각장애 아동 3명과 그의 어머니를 대상으로 대상자간 중다 간헐기초선 설계 방법을 적용하였다. 연구결과, 청각장애 아동 3명은 부모지원-가정중재를 통해 의사소통 기술이 향상되었고, 일반화되었으며, 중재가 끝난 4주 후에도 유지되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 부모지원과 가정중재에 대한 시사점과 향후 연구 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

  This study examined the effects of patents support-home based intervention on the communication skills of children with hearing loss. To meet the purpose of this study, structured home based intervention programs which support parents to help their children with hearing loss improve their communication skills and also supports parents to communicate with their children through various activities in the context of natural activities of daily living were designed and adopted. The study examined If the structured home based intervention programs help children with hearing loss acquire communication skills in both linguistic and social aspects through interactions with their parents and also examined how the intervention programs affect the acquired communicative skills to be generalized and maintained.
  In order to examine the effects of home based intervention, the multiple-probe design across subjects was used and various materials necessary when adopting home intervention the researcher developed were selected and used as experimental materials. The communicative interactions between the children and their mothers were videotaped and later the numbers of incidence of the linguistic and social communication skills acquired were analyzed according to sub-categories. The communication skills of children with hearing loss were improved in both linguistic and social aspects through parents support-home based intervention and this improvement was generalized in a different setting where intervention was not employed, and the improvement maintained even after four weeks after the conclusion of the intervention phase. Through this result of this study, it was shown that home based intervention had a positive effect on generalization and maintenance of the improvement of communication skills of children with hearing loss when the intervention were conducted by parents in the natural context of home environment.
