성인학습자 관점을 반영한 사이버대학 교육프로그램 평가준거 연구

국문 초록

  이 연구의 목적은 성인학습자 관점을 반영하여 사이버대학 교육프로그램 평가를 위한 평가준거를 개발하고 그 타당성을 실증적으로 검증하는 데 있다. 사이버대학, 성인학습, 사이버교육 평가준거 관련 선행연구 검토 및 사이버대학 재학생을 대상으로 실시한 일차적 요구조사를 통하여 여덟개의 잠정적 평가준거를 추출하였으며, 각각의 평가준거에 포함되는 69개의 예비평가문항으로 구성된 조사도구를 제작하였다. 제작한 조사도구를 사용하여 사이버대학 재학생 239명에게 예비조사를 실시하였으며, 예비조사 분석 결과를 반영하여 조사도구를 수정한 후, 8개 사이버대학 재학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 수집된 682명의 유효 자료를 활용하여 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과, 유익성, 편의성, 친밀성, 학습자 존중성, 외형성, 자기주도적학습 지원성, 학습평가의 적절성, 상호작용 증진성, 실생활 지향성, 자아효능감 증진 성과 같이 10개의 평가준거와 56개의 평가지표가 추출되었다. 또한 탐색적 요인분석 결과를 기초로 설정한 사이버대학 교육프로그램 평가모형의 적합성을 확인하기 위해 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 이 모형은 높은 구성타당성을 보여주었다.

영문 초록

  This study attempted to develop criteria for evaluating the quality of cyber university education programs in Korea, considering that a majority of learners in cyber universities are adults in their late 20s and over unlike students of traditional colleges. First, through literature analyses and a survey for demands of cyber university students, eight tentative areas of evaluating cyber university education programs and 69 preliminary evaluation items were drawn. Second, developing a questionnaire containing preliminary evaluation items, we conducted a survey to students in eight cyber universities and collected 682 responses. Third, Employing exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, we extracted ten evaluation criteria and 56 evaluation indicators. Ten evaluation criteria are: (1) usefulness; (2) conveniency; (3) intimacy; (4) respect for learners; (5) the appropriateness of physical condition; (6) the supportiveness of self-directed learning; (7) the appropriateness of evaluating learners; (8) promoting interactions among learners and between learners and teachers; (9) utilizing instruction materials from learners" life; and (10) improving learners" self-efficacy. The evaluation indicators for each factor were found to have very high levels of internal consistency. The result of the confirmatory factor analysis that was performed to examine the fitness of an evaluation model also proved that the model had a high level of construct validity.
