아동의 애완동물 사육경험과 친사회성

국문 초록

  이 연구는 초등학교 아동의 애완동물 사육에 관한 실태와 사육경험 유무에 따른 친사회성의 차이, 사육기간에 따른 친사회성의 차이, 애완동물에 대한 아동의 애호도와 친사회성이 어떤 관계가 있는지를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이 연구의 결과를 연구 문제별로 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 애완동물을 사육한 실태를 살펴보았을 때 현재 애완동물을 기르고 있지 않은 아동이 기르고 있는 아동보다 많았으며, 가장 많이 기르고 있는 애완동물은 강아지였다. 애완동물을 기른 기간은 1년 미만이 가장 많았다. 둘째, 애완동물 사육경험 유무과 친사회성의 차이를 살펴보았을 때 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 애완동물 사육경험이 있는 아동들을 대상으로 한 애호도와 친사회성과의 관계를 알아본 결과, 애호도가 높으면 높을수록 아동의 친사회성도 높아짐을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

  This study is to investigate the status of the pet-breeding by the elementary school children, and examine the children" differences of pro-sociality according to the existence of breeding, or not. Also, the objective of this research is to investigate the differences of pro-sociality according to the period of pet-breeding and the relations with the preference and the pro-society among the children.
  The results of this research were as follows ;
  First, when investigated the status of pet-breeding, Children who do not raise pet now occupied more than the children who raise the pet. They raised the dog as a pet. In most cares the period of pet-breeding was within one year. As for the difficult things in the pet-breeding, the children thought it was "toilet training". As for the good things in the pet-breeding, it was "never feel alone" most.
  Second, when examining the differences with the existence of pet-breeding experience and the pro-sociality, there did not arise significant differences. Also, as a result of investigating whether there was difference in the pro-sociality, there significant differences.
  Third, as a result of examining the relations with the preference and the pro-sociality on a basis of the children who have experience the pet-breeding, the higher the preference was in the 6 sub-fields like making them helped, sympathized, protected, shared, kind-hearted, and cooperated, the higher the children"s pro-sociality was.
