영문 초록

  This paper presents a mixed integer goal programming (GP) model to aid in strategic planning and scheduling of guard soldiers. The model we develop in this paper is based on the model proposed in Azaiez and Sharif[1] and is a general-purpose model that can incorporate various guard post objectives and soldier preferences.
  The usefulness of the model is evaluated on a real dataset, obtained from a guard post in ROK Army. The objectives used in the experiments are guard post objectives, including ensuring a continuous guard duty with appropriate combat skills and an equal assignment of military education and training time, and soldier preferences, including the number and ratio of off-days and his preference to be on guard duty with close fellow soldiers. Experimental results demonstrate that optimization-based guard scheduling is effective, in regard to generating a schedule that satisfies the objectives considered, and efficient, in terms of time it takes for generating a schedule.
