국문 초록

  기업조직에 대한 도덕적 윤리적 논의를 전개하는데 있어서 가장 먼저 고려해야 하는 요인은 역시 조직구성원 개인이다. 왜냐하면 조직구성원은 행위의 주체이며 기업조직 운영에 가치를 부여하는 실체이기 때문이다. 그러므로 근본적으로 윤리적 상황을 지각하고 의사결정을 함에 있어서 개인차가 존재한다는 점을 먼저 인식하고 이들 개인차를 가져오는 요인들에 대한 연구가 선행되어야 할 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 개인의 가치관인 윤리이데올로기(이상주의와 상대주의)가 윤리적 딜레마에 직면한 의사결정자의 윤리적 상황에 대한 지각(도덕적 강도; Jones, 1991)에 영향을 주며, 윤리적 상황에 대한 지각에 따라 윤리적 의사가 결정된다는 모형을 제시하였다. 연구 결과 이상주의는 사회적 압력에 긍정적 영향을, 상대주의는 사회적 압력에 부적 영향을 미치며, 사회적 압력의 지각은 윤리적 의사결정 의도에 긍정적 영향을 미치고 있음이 입증되어 사회적 압력이 윤리적 가치관과 윤리적 의사결정 의도간의 관계에 있어서 매개역할을 하고 있음이 밝혀졌다. 또한 사회적 압력이 결과중대성에 긍정적 영향을 준다는 사실이 본 연구를 통해 입증됨으로써 윤리적 의사결정에 있어서 사회적 압력에 대한 개인의 지각이 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 논란이 많던 도덕적 강도의 실제 영역을 재정립하였으며 이들 하위영역들 간의 관계를 입증하고, 윤리적 가치관과 윤리적 상황지각 그리고 윤리적 의사결정 의도간의 단계에 관한 모형을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

  To discuss about the ethicality of business organizations, an individual as a member of the organization is the priority factor to consider. Because the member of the organization is the subject of business acts and the substance to give value for operating business organization. Therefore it should be preceded to recognize the individual differences in perception about ethical issues and explore the factor that cause the individual differences in ethical decision making. This study tested the hypothetical model indicating the effect of perceived ethical ideology(ethical idealism/ethical relativism) and moral intensity(perceived magnitude of effect/perceived social pressure) on the ethical decision making intent. This scenario-based study showed that ethical idealism had positive effect and ethical relativism had negative effect on perceived social pressure, and perceived social pressure had effect on ethical decision making intent. This means that perceived social pressure has to act as a mediator between the ethical ideology and ethical decision making intent. Also this study proved that perceived social pressure had positive effect on perceived magnitude of effect. This result shows that an individual"s perceived social pressure is a very important role in ethical decision making intent. This study proposed and tested the practical sub-dimensions of moral intensity, and explored the relationship between the sub-dimensions. We investigated the roles of personal moral values and perceived moral intensity in ethical decision making intent.
