국문 초록

본 논문은 기부(charitable donations)에 대한 조사 연구와 관련해서 두 가지의 핵심 내용에 대한 정리와 논의를 전개한다 본 논문은 먼저 기부에 대한 조사 연구에서 우리가 파악해야 하는 것, 즉 '누가 무엇을 왜 어떻게 누구에게 기부하는가'라는 핵심 주제를 기준으로 이 주제와 관련된 현재의 경향과 조사 연구의 과제 등을 논한다. 두 번째로 본 논문은 기부 조사 연구 과정에서 우리가 주목해야 하는 연구 관련 문제. 즉 조사 연구 과정에서 우리가 고심해야 하는 결정적 문제로 간주될 수 있는 것인 기부 개념의 설정과 측정, 결측 자료, 분석 단위의 설정, 기부 행위의 관찰, 기부행위에 대한 모형의 구성, 그리고 기부 행위에 대한 통계적 분석과 관련해서 최근에 전개되고 있는 논의와 노력들을 정리하면서 기부에 대한 조사 연구에서 우리가 지향해야 하는 것이 무엇인가를 논의한다. 본 논문은 기부에 대한 조사 연구와 관련하여 이러한 내용을 정리하고 논의함을 통해 우리나라에서의 기부에 대한 조사 연구 방향을 설정하는 데 기여할 수 있는 많은 지식과 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

This paper attempts to discuss research issues regarding charitablc donations and develop research related agendas about it. First, this paper focuses on the contents of current research about charitable donations: who gives what, why, how, and to whom? This paper reviews the findings about this research question in USA and Korea ami develop research related agendas in dealing with the essential contents of charitable donations. Second, this paper focuses on the crystallized issues in conducting research regarding charirable donations: conceptualizing and measuring charitable donations, reducing missing data, selecting unit of analysis, selecting observation methods, constructing a model about behaviors related to charitable donations, and selecting appropriate statistical method foe analysis, This paper reviews discussions and efforts about these issues and searches for more improved approaches to deal with these issues in studying charitable donations. This paper provides directions in researching charitable donations in Korea throughout reviewing and discussjng the above described research issues.
