This paper aims to examine the effect of personality as a predictor of second language acquisition. Even in the same language environment, some learners acquire a second language better than others. Moreover, certain individual characteristics affect how much individual learners use each processor although everyone has the same innate language processing mechanisms. It may be natural that the individual who wants to achieve a particular goal devotes considerable effort to achieve this goal. The individual who is an extrovert might have more opportunity of using the target language and practicing it. There is a principled distinction between formal, conscious learning and informal, unconscious acquisition in second language researches. Therefore, this study focuses on which part of English learning, such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing, that 10 Korean students in Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), PA, tend to focus on because of their personality.
