항공운송을 통한 수출구조분석

국문 초록

항공화물은 해운화물에 비해 부가가치가 매우 높아 항공운송의 중요성이 크게 부각되고 있음에도 불구하고, 국제물류를 뒷받침하는 하나의 축인 항공화물운송부문에 대해서는 별다른 관심을 갖지 않고 있다. 이에 본고는 21세기에 접어들면서 정보통신, 물류 등 각 분야에서 속도경쟁이 격화되어 각광을 받고 있는 항공운송에 의한 수출이 어떠한 요인에 의해 어느 정도 영향을 받는가를 밝히는 데 연구의 목적을 둔다. 우리나라 공항수출은 경기계수가 환율계수 보다 훨씬 커서 공항 수출이 환율보다는 경기의 영향을 크게 받으며, 일시적인 공항수출의 단기적 괴리에 대해 환율과 경기가 조정역할을 수행하나 경기의 조정 역할이 더 크다는 것과, 수출품목의 수급불균형에 대해 조정속도가 상당히 느리다는 것을 보인다. 그러나 이동회귀분석의 결과 환율의 영향력은 증가하고 경기의 영향력은 감소하는 경향이 있음을 밝힌다.

영문 초록

Asia is one of the fastest growing regions within the global air transport market. Since the 1990s, air passenger and cargo traffic volumes in this region has increased dramatically, and potential demand is enormous. In response to such trends, many Asian countries have opened new airports or expanded existing facilities in the hopes of laying claim to the main international hub airport in the region. The government of Korea is driving a national strategy for developing a regional logistics hub in the Northeast Asia and air cargo plays a great role in international logistics. But little attention has been paid to the competitiveness of the air cargo industry even after the opening of Incheon International airport. The purpose of this study is to analyse the export behaviors of airport based on the structural model. The GPH cointegration test supports that the structural model is stationary. The coefficient on the error-correction term is very low, meaning that exports of airport can not adjust the short-run disequilibrium quickly and are vulnerable to untoward events. This paper also applies impulse-response functions to the structural model. The results indicate that while exports respond positively to the shocks in industrial activity and then decay very slowly, responses to the exchange rate shocks are very small compared to industrial production shocks.
