해결중심상담자의 수퍼비전 경험에 관한 질적연구

국문 초록

상담 분야에서 수퍼비전 경험에 관한 관심이 높아지고 있음에도 해결중심상담의 수퍼비전과 상담자의 수퍼비전 경험에 관한 연구는 상대적으로 매우 부족하다. 본 연구의 목적은 해결중심상담의 독특한 이론적, 실천적 특성이 반영된 수퍼비전에서 상담자들이 어떤 경험을 하는지 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 해결중심상담을 자신의 주요한 임상 접근으로 활용하는 18명의 상담자를 대상으로 그들이 경험한 해결중심 수퍼비전에 관한 심층 면담을 진행하고 이를 분석하는 질적연구를 수행하였다. 연구 결과 해결중심 수퍼비전의 과정과 관련된 총 5개의 주제가 도출되었다. 해결중심상담자들이 경험하는 수퍼비전의 종류와 형태는 다양했는데, 최근 들어 대부분의 수퍼비전은 온라인으로 진행됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 상담자들은 수퍼비전에서 자신과 내담자의 강점과 자원을 발견하면서 동시에 부족한 부분에 관한 구체적인 피드백을 원했다. 수퍼비전의 진행은 수퍼바이저 간 다르기도 했지만 주로 질문 방식이 많았고, 수퍼비전에서 다뤄진 주제는 사례개념화보다는 해결중심상담의 실천 과정에 관한 것이었다. 대부분의 상담자들은 본인의 수퍼비전 경험이 긍정적이었다고 표현했지만, 부정적 경험도 함께 언급되었다. 이러한 연구 결과에 기초해 본 연구에서는 해결중심 수퍼비전의 발전 방향에 대한 이론적, 실천적 논의를 제공한다.

영문 초록

Objectives: Despite growing interest in supervision, research on supervision experiences in solution-focused (SF) counseling is relatively lacking. The purpose of this study was to provide basic data that explores and understands SF counselors’ supervision experiences more deeply. Methods: In this qualitative study I conducted in-depth interviews and analyzed the supervision experiences of 18 SF counselors. Results: The results were as follows. The types of supervision experienced by SF counselors were vary, but mainly public case presentations, individual and peer supervision. Recently, most supervisions were provided by online using such as Zoom. SF counselors expected that supervision would provide them with the opportunity to discover their own and their clients’ strengths and resources, while it would balance technical skills and firm theoretical foundations. The way supervision was conducted varied among the supervisors, but the questions were mostly used way of supervision. Conclusions: Most counselors expressed that their supervision experience was very positive, but they also provided suggestions along with negative experiences. I provide theoretical and practical discussions on the direction of development of SF supervision.
