국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 고등학교 1학년에서 고등학교 3학년까지의 3년간을 중심으로 청소년기 진로적응력과 삶의 만족도의 변화궤적을 살펴보고 동시에 두 변수의 종단적 관계를 통해 서로 간에 미치는 영향을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 한국청소년정책연구원에서 수행한 한국아동·청소년패널조사 2018 (KCYPS 2018)의 고등학교 1학년 패널을 활용하였다. 최종 분석 대상은 일반계 고등학교에 재학하는 1,745명이며, 그들의 4차년도(2021년) 고등학교 1학년부터 6차년도(2023년) 고등학교 3학년까지 3년간 데이터를 분석하였다. 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학교 1학년은 학년이 올라갈수록 진로적응력은 증가하는 반면에 삶의 만족도는 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 둘째, 진로적응력 초기치가 높을수록 시간의 흐름에 따라 진로적응력은 완만하게 증가하지만 삶의 만족도는 완만하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 삶의 만족도 초기치가 높을수록 시간의 흐름에 따라 삶의 만족도는 완만하게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 진로적응력과 삶의 만족도의 종단적 관계를 탐색하여 고등학교 시기 청소년을 위한 교육적 개입 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the change trajectories of career adaptability and life satisfaction during adolescence, focusing on the three years from the first year to the third year of high school. Additionally, this study explores the longitudinal relationships between the two variables to analyze their mutual influence over time. For this purpose, data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018 (KCYPS 2018), conducted by the National Youth Policy Institute of Korea, were utilized. The final sample consisted of 1,745 students enrolled in general high schools, and their data from the fourth wave (2021) as first-year high school students to the sixth wave (2023) as third-year high school students were analyzed. The key findings are as follows. First, career adaptability showed a tendency to increase as students progressed to higher grades, while life satisfaction tended to decrease over time. Second, higher initial levels of career adaptability were associated with a more gradual increase in career adaptability and a more gradual decrease in life satisfaction over time. Similarly, higher initial levels of life satisfaction were linked to a more gradual decline in life satisfaction as time progressed. Based on these findings, the study explores the longitudinal relationship between career adaptability and life satisfaction and suggests educational interventions to support high school students during this critical developmental period.
