국문 초록

The biocreative orthodontic strategy (BOS) integrates the evolution of orthodontic philosophies with advancements in orthodontic appliances, and emphasizes customized treatment approaches that account for each patient’s unique biological characteristics. BOS, established in 1998, spans a wide range of applications across different ages, from managing congenital craniofacial deformities in neonates to sophisticated re-treatments in adults. This approach incorporates modern digital tools like 3-dimensional (3D) printing and systems like temporary skeletal anchorage devices (TSADs), while grounding its methodologies in established orthodontic principles. Through its innovative classifications, BOS aims to enhance treatment outcomes while minimizing side effects, respecting physiological growth, and ensuring patient comfort. The strategy adheres to a holistic set of ten treatment principles, which guide effective and predictable orthodontic care tailored to individual needs.
