국문 초록

Stage IV periodontitis represents the terminal stage of periodontal disease, often accompanied by esthetic concerns due to pathological tooth movement. Therefore, a multidisciplinary approach involving periodontal treatment as well as prosthodontic and orthodontic interventions is essential. In this case study, a 55-year-old patient presenting severe attachment loss and pathological tooth migration was successfully treated by establishing occlusal stability through implants in the posterior region and applying appropriate biomechanical design to intrude anterior teeth, resulting in both esthetic and functional improvements. Throughout the treatment process, an intrusion spring with sufficient range was utilized to generate gentle and continuous force, while a specially designed lever jig was employed to address the low attachment level of the canine. This enabled the movement of teeth with gentle and sustained force, leading to favorable treatment outcomes without exacerbation of periodontal disease, achieved through regular periodontal maintenance.
