공주교대 9개 핵심역량 검사 결과 - 1, 2학년 학생들을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 2023년 공주교육대학교 1, 2학년 학생들을 대상으로 GJUE-CC9를 활용하여 핵심 역량별 평균, 강점역량과 약점역량 등을 확인하고, 해당 결과를 2022년 1학년 결과와 비교해 봄으로써 핵심역량의 변화 추이를 살펴보고자 하였다. 또한 2학년 학생들의 교과 및 비교과 활동 등을 조사하여 핵심역량과 밀접한 관련을 보이는 요인을 탐색해보고자 하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2023년 신입생들의 9개 핵심역량의 평균은 가치설정역량, 아동이해역량, 문제해결역량, 의사소통역량, 공동체역량, 심미적 판단역량, 교직전문성역량, 창의역량, 자기관리역량 순으로 높았고, 모두 5.00이상(6점 만점)이었다. 둘째, 2023년 신입생들의 하위요인별 강점역량 1위는 ‘예비교사로서의 신념적 가치’, 2위는 ‘상호존중적 공동체성’, 3위는 ‘아동에 대한 관심’이었고, 하위요인별 약점역량 1위는 ‘학습관련 자기관리’, 2위는‘성향적 창의’, 3위는 ‘조절적 자기관리’로 나타났다. 셋째, 성별에 따른 차이를 살펴본 결과, 창의역량은 남학생이 여학생보다 높았고, 아동이해역량은 여학생이 남학생보다 높았으며, 그 외 유의한 통계적 차이는 없었다. 넷째, 입학전형별 차이를 살펴본 결과, 가치설정역량, 교직전문성역량, 아동이해역량, 창의역량, 공동체역량에서 수시전형 학생의 핵심역량 평균이 정시전형 학생보다 높았다. 다섯째, 학과별 차이를 살펴본 결과, 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 여섯째, 학년별 차이를 살펴본 결과, 2022년 1학년과 2023년 1학년의 핵심역량 검사결과가 비슷하였고, 2학년보다 더 높았다. 일곱째, 교과·비교과 활동 참여도, 본교 교과·비교과 프로그램의 도움 정도, 스스로 평가하는 핵심역량의 성장·발전도와 핵심역량결과는 서로 밀접한 상관을 보였다. 또한 2학년의 핵심역량 총점은 교과 활동 참여도가 높을수록, 비교과 활동 참여도가 높을수록, 본교의 교과·비교과 프로그램이 도움이 된다고 평가할수록, 스스로 작년 한 해 동안 자신의 핵심역량이 성장·발전했다고 평가할수록 높았다. 끝으로 본 연구결과를 기반으로 정책적 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the changes in core competencies by checking the mean scores, strengths, and weaknesses of each core competency using the GJUE-CC9 for the first and second year students of Gongju National University of Education in 2023, and comparing the results with the results of the first year students in 2022. We also examined the curricular and co-curricular activities of second-year students to explore factors that are closely related to the core competencies. The main findings are as follows. First, the mean scores of the nine core competencies for freshmen in 2023 were in the following order: value setting competency, child understanding competency, problem solving competency, communication competency, community competency, aesthetic judgment competency, teaching professionalism competency, creativity competency, self-management competency, all of which were above 5.00 (out of 6). Second, the top three strengths in the sub-factors were belief-based values as a pre-service teacher, mutually respectful community identity, interest in children and the top three weaknesses in the sub-factors were learning-related self-management, dispositional creativity, regulatory self-management. Third, we examined the differences by gender, and found that males were higher than females in creativity, and females were higher than males in child understanding, but there were no other significant statistical differences. Fourth, we examined the differences by type of admission and found that the mean scores of early admissions students were higher than those of regular admissions students on value setting, teaching professionalism, child understanding, creativity, and community. Fifth, there were no statistically significant differences between the majors. Sixth, we examined grade-level differences, and found that freshmen in 2022 and 2023 had similar Core Competency test scores and were higher than sophomores. Seventh, participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, the degree of support from the university's co-curricular program, and self-assessed growth and development of core competencies were strongly correlated with the core competency results. In addition, the sophomore's core competency total score was higher the higher the participation in co-curricular activities, the higher the participation in extra-curricular activities, the higher the degree of support from the university's co-curricular program, and the higher the self-assessed growth and development of core competencies over the past year. Finally, policy recommendations were made based on the findings.
