신규교사의 직무수행준비도에 따른 교사효능감과 직무만족도의 차이 검증

국문 초록

본 연구는 신규교사의 직무수행준비도를 유형화하여 분석하고, 유형에 따른 학생참여효능감, 교수학습효능감, 학급경영효능감, 교직만족도 및 직업환경만족도의 차이를 확인하였다. OECD의 교육 및 학습 국제 조사(TALIS) 2018 데이터를 활용하여 총 1,157명의 대한민국 초등･중등 5년차 이하 교사에 대한 데이터를 분석하였고, 남자 377(32.6%), 여자 780(67.4%)였다. 신규교사의 직무수행준비도 유형화를 위해 잠재프로파일분석(Latent Profile Analysis, LPA)을 실시하였다. 신규교사 데이터를 분석한 결과, 신규교사들은 ‘준비 미흡’, ‘일반’, ‘높은 준비도’의 세 가지 유형으로 분류될 수 있음이 확인되었다. 유형별 교사 효능감 및 만족도 차이를 분석한 결과, ‘높은 준비도’ 유형의 교사는 학생참여효능감, 교수학습효능감, 학급경영효능감에서 더 높은 수치를 보였으며, 교직 만족도 또한 ‘준비 미흡’이나 ‘일반’ 유형에 속하는 교사에 비해 상대적으로 높았다. 또한 중등교사의 경우, ‘높은 준비도’ 유형과 ‘일반’ 유형의 교사들이 직업 환경에 대한 만족도에서 ‘준비 미흡’ 유형의 교사들보다 유의미하게 높은 결과를 보였다. 본 연구를 통하여 신규교사의 직무수행준비도 유형을 식별하였고, 결과를 바탕으로 교사 교육 프로그램의 개선 방향과 직무수행준비도 향상을 위한 지원 방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study categorizes the job performance preparedness of novice teachers and examines differences in student engagement efficacy, teaching and learning efficacy, classroom management efficacy, teacher job satisfaction, and occupational environment satisfaction based on these categories. Using data from the 2018 OECD Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS), the analysis includes a total of 1,157 elementary and secondary teachers with less than five years of experience in South Korea were analyzed, with 377 (32.6%) male and 780 (67.4%) female participants. Latent Profile Analysis (LPA) was conducted to categorize the preparedness of novice teachers. The results confirm that novice teachers can be classified into three types: 'insufficient preparation,' 'average,' and 'high preparation.' Analyzing differences in teacher efficacy and satisfaction based on these types, teachers in the 'high preparation' category demonstrated higher levels of student engagement efficacy, teaching and learning efficacy, and classroom management efficacy. Moreover, their job satisfaction was relatively higher compared to teachers in the 'insufficient preparation' or 'average' categories. Additionally, in the case of secondary school teachers, those in the 'high preparation' and 'average' categories showed significantly higher satisfaction with the occupational environment compared to teachers in the 'insufficient preparation' category. This study identifies the types of job performance preparedness among novice teachers and provides recommendations for improving teacher training programs and suggesting tailored support methods for enhancing job performance preparedness.
