가상현실(Virtual Reality) 기반 청능훈련프로그램을 이용한 노인 난청의 청능훈련 효과 및 만족도에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 노인 난청이 실제로 경험할 수 있는 생활환경을 가상현실로 제작하여 가상현실 청능훈련 프로그램을 6회기를 개발하여 회기별 청능훈련의 변화 여부를 알아보고, 단어인지 및 청능훈련 만족도 조사를 근거로 효과를 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 가상현실 콘텐츠 이용한 청능훈련프로그램 6회기(외식하기, 여행가기, 전화하기, 라디오 시청하기, 대중교통(전철)에서 대화하기, 공공기관(병원) 이용하기)를 주 1회, 6주 동안 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 노인 난청 총 20명의 가상현실 기반 청능훈련프로그램의 결과는 첫째, 노인 난청인 모두 청능훈련 1∼6회기가 거듭될수록 평균 정반응 점수가 향상된 점수를 보였으며 실제로 소음이 있는 어려움 듣기 조건에서도 훈련의 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 노인 난청인들의 가상현실 청능훈련 종료 후 단어인지는 사전 대비 사후 향상되었다. 청능훈련 만족도를 살펴보면 청능훈련 종료 후 소음 상황에서 말소리 듣기, 실제 상황에서 듣기 연습이 도움이 되었으며, 6회기 청능훈련 프로그램 중 병원가기 청능훈련이 가장 만족한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 근거로 노인 난청인들에게 개인별 청능훈련을 통하여 듣기능력에 대한 자신감을 제공한 점과 청각재활서비스에 대한 질적 수준의 변화가 요구되는 시점에 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

In this study, a virtual reality auditory training program consisted of 6 sessions was developed by creating a living environment that elderly people with hearing loss can actually experience in virtual reality. For the purpose of this study, a total of 6 sessions of auditory training program using virtual reality contents (eating out, going on a trip, making phone calls, listening to radio, talking in public transportation, using public institutions(hospital)) were given once a week. After the training program, a satisfaction survey was conducted and it was checked if there were any changes in each session. As a result, the results of the virtual reality-based hearing training program for a total of 20 elderly people with hearing loss were as follows. First, all of participants showed improvement in positive response scores as the training sessions were proceeding, and the training was effective even under difficult listening conditions with noise. Second, when looking at the satisfaction of virtual reality auditory training among the elderly with hearing loss, listening to speech in noise situations and listening in real situations after hearing training were helpful. Also, auditory training session about using hospital was the most satisfied among training programs. These results can be used as basic data for changes in quality level of hearing rehabilitation services and provide confidence in listening skills to elderly hearing impaired people through individual auditory training.
