미술심리치료사의 예술창작활동에 관한 해석학적 현상학 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 미술심리치료사들이 하고 있는 예술창작활동의 본질적 의미를 밝히는 해석학적 현상학 연구로 2021년 8월부터 2022년 4월까지 연구 참여자의 선정, 자료수집, 자료 분석, 글쓰기의 절차로 진행되었다. 연구 참여자는 석사 졸업 후 임상현장에서 10년 이상의 경력을 가진 미술심리치료사 8명이었고 연구의 결과는 참여자들의 예술창작활동 체험을 바탕으로 어떤 의미가 있는지에 따라 4개의 범주와 14개의 하위 주제로 분석되었다. 4개의 범주는 ‘치유의 과정임’, ‘소통의 언어가 됨’, ‘나의 고유성을 찾아감’, ‘창작 작업과 조화로운 치료를 지향함’으로 도출되었다. 전체적인 맥락에서 예술창작활동은 미술심리치료사들에게 치유적 삶의 실존적 행위라고 할 수 있다. 미술심리치료사들은 치유적인 창조성으로 창작자와 관찰자의 위치를 오가며 더 자유롭고 균형 잡힌 삶을 추구하고, 역동하는 존재로서 자신의 ‘차이’를 추구함으로써 고유성을 느낀다. 본 연구는 해석학적 현상학의 방법을 통해 미술심리치료사의 예술창작활동이라는 경험적 실체로부터 반성적인 해석과 사려 깊은 이해를 추구함으로써 본질적 의미를 밝히는 데 목적이 있으며 미술심리치료사의 창작 작업을 활성화하기 위한 대안을 모색하는 데 기초자료가 될 수 있다.

영문 초록

This research is a hermeneutic phenomenological study in understanding the essential meanings of creative activities done by art psychotherapists. The participants of this study were eight art psychotherapists with more than 10 years of clinical field experience after graduating from a master’s degree. The project was conducted through procedures of selecting research participants, data collection and analysis and writings from August 2021 to April 2022. The results showed four categories and 14 topics designated according to the meaning of the participants’ creative activity experiences. The four categories were analysed as ‘process of healing’, ‘language for communication’, 'finding my uniqueness', 'pursuing art therapy in harmony with creativity'. In the overall context, creative activity was an existential act of life-healing for art psychotherapists. Through creative healing, art psychotherapists seek a freer and more balanced life by moving between the positions of creator and observer, and I feel unique by accepting my dynamic differences. This study provides insight into the art psychotherapist's experience of creative activity through the method of hermeneutic phenomenology. And the value of art psychotherapist's creative activities can serve as basic data to be combined and expanded in various fields.
