통합학급 환경에서의 보편적 학습설계(UDL) 기반 중재 연구에 대한 질적지표분석 및 메타분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 체계적 문헌고찰을 통해 UDL 기반 중재 연구가 통합학급 환경에서 일반학생 차원의학업적, 정의적, 사회적 영역에 미치는 효과를 종합하는 데 목적이 있다. 2008년 1월부터 2023년 4월까지 국내에서 발표된 UDL 기반 중재 연구 중에서 통제그룹이 있는 두 집단 실험 설계인 학술지 게재 논문 8편 및 학위 논문 5편을 포함하여 총 13편이 분석대상논문에 포함되었다. 연구 결과, 첫째, UDL 기반 중재 연구는 초·중학교에서 활발히 이루어졌고, 국어, 수학, 사회, 과학, 체육등의 교과에서 고르게 적용되었으며, 대체적으로 UDL 원리에 따른 적용 전략이 반영되어 있었다.둘째, 본 연구에 포함된 논문의 CEC 질적지표 평균 충족률은 78.85%였다. 한편, WWC 질적지표를 충족한 연구는 없었으며, 잠재적으로 충족한 연구는 4편, 미충족 연구는 9편이었다. 셋째, 메타분석 결과, 통합학급 환경에서 UDL 기반 중재 연구는 학생의 학업적, 정의적, 사회적 영역에서통계적으로 유의미한 효과크기를 보였다. 효과크기에 유의한 영향을 미치는 조절변인은 정의적 영역에서 출판 유형, 학교급, 적용 과목, WWC 질 평가, 중재 회귀 수, CEC 질 평가 항목이었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 바탕으로 통합학급 환경에서 UDL 기반 중재 연구와 관련한 시사점과 제안점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the current study is to conduct a systematic review and meta-analyses in order to synthesize the effects of UDL-based interventions on student academic, affective, and social outcomes in inclusive classroom settings. A total of 13 studies, 8 peer-reviewed studies and 5 theses in two groups studies with a comparison group published in Korea from January 2008 to April 2023 were included in the analyses. As a result, first, UDL-based intervention studies were conducted mostly in elementary and middle schools in subjects including Korean, mathematics, society, science, and physical education, and the application strategies based on UDL principles were used across the studies. Second, the studies included in this review were found to meet 78.85% of CEC quality indicators. Meanwhile, no studies met WWC quality indicators, 4 studies met WWC standards with reservations, and 9 studies did not meet WWC stantdards. Finally, the results of meta-analyses showed statistically significant effects on student academic, affective, and social outcomes. Regarding affective outcomes, moderating variables including publication type, school level, subject, WWC and CEC quality assessments were found to significantly affect average effect sizes. Based on these results, implications and suggestions for future studies were discussed.
