초등학교 통합 교과서의 다문화요소분석 : 1, 2학년 통합 교과서를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 논문은 2015 초등학교 개정 교과서에서 다문화 관련 내용을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. “초중등 교육과정 및 교과서의 다문화적 요소분석을 통한 개정 방안 연구”에서 다문화 요소의 분석틀을 활용하였으며, 분석 대상 교과서는 개정판 초등학교 1,2학년 2학기 겨울 통합 교과서를 대상으로 하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 2015 개정 교육과정 통합 교과서 1-2학기와 2-2학기 겨울 경우 다문화적 내용 빈도수가 1-2학기의 경우 5번, 2-2학기의 경우 19번으로 나타났다. 둘째, 2015 개정 통합 교과에서는 다문화와 직접적으로 관련한 내용이 거의 없으며, 특히 1-2학기에는 그 빈도수가 매우 부족하다. 처음 학교에 입학해 다양한 친구를 만나는 시기인 1학년에 다른 나라의 학생들과 다름을 인정하고 그러한 문화를 받아들이는 활동 및 체험이 무엇보다 중요하므로, 교과서 내 다문화 관련내용수의 빈도는 매우 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 2015 개정교육과정에서는 학생이 주제 및 교과 내용을 활동을 통해 체험하고 경험하게 하므로 블록 차시 위주로 개발이 된 바, 교과서를 지도함에 있어 교과서 내용에 집중함과 동시에 교실의 상황에서 자율적으로 체험하고 체득할 수 있도록 하는 교사연수 및 통합에서 다루고 있는 내용을 보충하고 보강할 수 있는 각종 자료의 배급이 필요할 것으로 사료되는 바이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the multicultural content of the Korean Elementary School Textbook revised in 2015. This study abstracted the framework of multicultural factors for analysis of multicultural contents from the research on “Revision Guidelines by Analysis of Multicultural Factors in Secondary Curriculum and Textbook”. The analyzed textbook is the integrated winter textbooks for both the first and second grades revised curriculum in 2015. Several findings were represented as follows: first, the frequency of multicultural content displayed five times more in first grade and nineteen times more in second grade respectively. Second, the analyzed textbooks did not include contents directly associated with multiculturalism. In addition, the frequency of content falls short in the second semester in the first grade. Activities and experiences are important in the acceptance of unfamiliar cultures or circumstances and perception of otherness when students enter the elementary school and make friends with students from other countries. Thus, multicultural contents' frequency of within textbooks is very crucial. Finally, the revised curriculum focused on activities and experiences about the theme and content in the textbook and was developed grounded in block chassis. For teaching the textbook content, teachers must perfectly understand textbooks through teacher training. At the same time, teaching materials and tools for the revised curriculum should be distributed to teachers in the class. In this respect, elementary school curriculum and textbook content should be improved by providing more revision fitting for the growth of humanity in the multicultural era.
