부모의 방임이 다문화청소년의 이중문화 수용태도에 미치는 영향: 문화적응 스트레스와 사회적 위축을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 부모의 방임이 다문화청소년의 이중문화 수용태도에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 문화적응 스트레스와 사회적 위축이 매개하는지 그 효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 다문화청소년패널(MAPS)의 6차년도 자료를 활용하였으며, 연구대상은 중학교 3학년 총 1,329명이다. 자료분석은 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, 상관관계분석, 적합도검증, 경로분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 부모의 방임이 다문화청소년의 이중문화 수용태도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모의 방임과 이중문화 수용태도의 관계에서 문화적응 스트레스가 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모의 방임과 이중문화 수용태도의 관계에서 사회적 위축이 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다문화청소년의 이중문화 수용태도를 증진시키기 위하여, 문화적응 스트레스와 사회적 위축을 높이기 위한 실천적 및 정책적 함의를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study examines the effect of parental neglect on the attitudes of multicultural adolescents to accept biculturalism and mediating effects of cultural adaptation stress and social atrophy on the relationships between the variables. To achieve this, the study utilized data from the sixth year of the Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study(MAPS), and the subjects of this study were a total of 1,329 third year of middle school students. A path analysis was carried out to examine the data including frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis, and fitness test. The findings of the study were as follows. First, parental neglect did have an impact on the attitude of multicultural adolescents to accept biculturalism. Second, cultural adaptation stress partially mediated the relationship between parental neglect and the attitude towards bicultural acceptance. Third, social contraction was partially mediated in the relationship between parental neglect and bicultural acceptance attitude. Consequently, this study suggested practical and policy implications to moderate cultural adaptation stress and social atrophy in order to enhance the attitude of multicultural adolescents to accept biculturalism.
