국문 초록

이 논문은 다문화사회의 주체로서 기업에서 실시하는 중도입국 청소년의 직업교육의 실제와 쟁점을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 A여행사가 2019년 4월 1일부터 2019년 9월 25일까지 중도입국청소년을 대상으로 추진한 문화관광인재양성과정 프로그램의 실제를 분석하고 그것의 특성과 쟁점을 파악하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째 그동안 소외되었던 중도입국 청소년을 위한 직업교육 프로그램의 유의미한 취지에도 불구하고, 프로그램 설계측면에서, 공급자 중심의 직업교육이라는 점이 밝혀졌다. 둘째 프로그램 내용과 운영의 측면에서 중도입국 청소년의 교육 수요를 반영한 맞춤형 콘텐츠가 빈약하고, 중도입국 청소년의 진로개발에 최적화된 교수 학습 자원 부족하여, 교육 필요에 맞는 프로그램 운영의 효율성이 낮았다. 셋째, 학습자의 진로준비도와 교육 참여도 측면에서 다수의 교육생들은 학습 동기가 낮고 진로와 직업에 대한 비전이 부족한 상태에 놓여 있음을 알 수 있었다. 중도입국 청소년의 진로는 다양성을 가진 한국사회의 성장과 개인의 발전에 중대한 삶의 기회를 확장하는 과제라고 주장하면서 이들을 위한 직업교육프로그램이 좀 더 정교하고 세분화될 필요성이 있음을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study attempts to investigate the features and issues of vocational education and career development program for immigrant youth conducted by a travel company. Company is a significant partner to implement multicultural society and this case study could provide a novel idea to enhance quality of vocational education and career development. A Travel Company's Human Resource Development Program of Culture and Tourism was invited to analyze practice and issues of vocational education and career development program for immigrant youth. Major findings show that planing of the program was implemented in mode of supply side approach, which lacks an effective monitoring system to maintain the quality of the program. Also, the program failed to fulfil learners’ educational needs and customized content was not effectively organized for immigrant youth. Finally, absence of learner-centered perspective was the notable limitation of the program, which could not consider the learners’ language capacity and career aptitude. In conclusion, we need to transform our education system to develop capacity of immigrant youth over the next years. It argues that vocational education and career development for immigrant youth and their social integration into Korean society require sophisticated attention from researchers and policy makers.
