중등교사의 다문화교육 연수경험과 다문화 태도의 관계: 공정 세상 신념(BJW)의 조절효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 중등교사의 다문화 교육연수경험과 다문화 태도의 관계에서 공정 세상 신념의 조절효과를 확인하였다. 이를 위해 중고등학교에 재직하고 있는 교사 253명의 설문조사 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 중등교사의 다문화 교육연수경험과 다문화 태도는 정적 상관이 있었다. 둘째, 중등교사의 다문화 교육연수와 다문화 태도 간의 관계에서 공정 세상 신념(BJW-self, BJW-others)의 조절효과가 유의하였다. 셋째, 중등교사의 BJW-self가 낮을수록 다문화교육연수경험에 큰 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, BJW-others가 높은 중등교사 집단은 다문화교육 연수경험의 높고 낮음에 따른 다문화태도의 변화가 작았지만, BJWothers가 낮은 중등교사집단은 다문화교육 연수경험이 많아짐에 따라 다문화태도의 변화가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점과 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논의에 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the moderating effect of belief in a just world(BJW) in the relationship between multicultural educational training program experience (METPE) and multicultural attitude. For this purpose, the survey of 253 secondary school teachers was analyzed. The results indicated that METPE was positively correlated with multicultural attitude. When teachers have more experience in METPE, they had a more positive attitude toward multiculturalism. Secondly, the moderating effects of BJW were significant in the relationship between METPE and multicultural attitude. Third, the group with low BJW-self had differences in multicultural attitudes depending on whether they have METPE or not. Fourth, the group with high BJW-others had a smaller change in multicultural attitudes according to the high and low of METPE. On the other hand, the group with low BJW-others has more changes in multicultural attitudes according to the increase of METPE. Limitations and recommendations for future research are presented.
