중등교사의 교직선택 동기와 교사헌신의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 부산시 중·고등학교 교사들을 대상으로 교직선택 동기가 교사헌신에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해서 구안되었다. 본 연구를 통해 교사헌신을 높이기 위해 필요한 효율적인 교사임용과 양성을 위한 방안의 자료를 제공하여 교육현장에 실질적인 도움을 주고 하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 측정도구는 교직선택 동기에 관한 설문지는 최주연(2005)의 ‘교직선택 동기 설문지’를 사용하였고, 교사헌신에 관한 설문지는 홍창남(2005) 연구의 설문지를 사용하였다. 이상의 과정을 통해 본 연구에서 규명하고자 했던 연구문제에 대한 대답은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중등교사의 교직선택 동기와 교사헌신 수준은 능동적 동기와 물질적 동기를 많이 고려하였고, 수업헌신, 학생헌신과 학교조직 헌신 순으로 높았다. 둘째, 중등교사의 교직선택 동기는 능동적 동기를 선택한 경우에는. 부장교사와 16-20년의 교직경력, 사범대학 출신 집단이 높았다. 셋째, 중등교사의 교사헌신에 대한 인식 중 수업헌신은 매우 높았으며 여교사, 부장교사, 16-20년 경력, 교육대학원 출신이 높았다. 넷째, 중등교사의 교직선택 동기가 교사헌신에 미치는 영향 중 수업헌신은 직위, 교육경력, 능동적 동기에서 높게 나왔다.

영문 초록

This study is intended to identify how a motivation to pursue a career of academic profession as teachers influences on the dedication for teachers working at middle and high schools. As for the measuring tool, 'the survey on the motivation of selecting teaching profession' conducted by Jooyeon Choi (2005). In addition, a questionnaire of the study conducted by Changnam Hong (2005). Solutions of aforementioned three inquiries that this study was intended to deal with are as follows. first of all, a degree of motivation for selecting a career of academic profession and dedication was closely related to active and physical motivation and was turned out to be high in an order of dedication for class, students, and school organization. Secondly, a motivation of selecting a career of academic profession for teachers working at middle school was shown higher in a group of head teachers, 16-20 years of teaching experience, and graduates from college of education. Third, dedication on the class was turned out to be very high among middle school teachers, and, especially, a group of female teachers, head teachers, 16-20 years of teaching experience, and graduates from the graduate school of education. Fourth, among all types of influence of a motivation for selecting a career of academic profession of middle school teachers on the dedication, class dedication was turned out to be high in position, teaching experience, and active motivation.
