국문 초록

청소년의 진로결정에 진로결정자기효능감이 미치는 영향은 지대하며, 연도별, 성별, 학교 급간별 차이로 알아본 연구는 매우 드문 실정이다. 아울러 예기치 못했던 환경적인 현상 이후 학생들의 진로결정 자기효능감이 약화될 수 있기 때문에 현상태의 특성과 변화 수준을 파악하고, 향상시킬 수 있는 여러 방안의 고려가 필요한 상황이다. 이 연구는 2019년부터 2021년까지 광주광역시 중･고등학생의 진로결정자기효능감의 연도별, 성별 차이를 비교한 연구다. 연구 결과, 중･고등학생 모두 진로결정자기효능감이 점차 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 이 증가율은 성별과 학교급에 따라 차이를 보였다. 특히 남학생이 여학생보다 진로결정자기효능감이 더 높은 것으로 나타나 남학생이 진로 결정에 대한 자신감이 더 높다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 아울러 학교급에 따라 2019년과 2020년에는 중학생이 고등학생보다 더 높은 진로결정자기효능감을 가졌으나, 2021년에는 고등학생이 전년도와 비슷한 추세를 유지했지만 중학생은 급격하게 낮아졌다. 이 연구는 국가적 차원에서 중･고등학생의 진로결정자기효능감을 높이기 위한 교육정책과 프로그램을 개발하고, 청소년의 진로결정 과정을 지원하기 위한 다양한 교육서비스 및 프로그램과 학교 진로교육의 방향을 제시하는 데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The impact of career decision self-efficacy on adolescents' career decisions is significant, and only a few studies have examined differences across years, genders, and school levels. Additionally, considering that students' career decision self-efficacy may be weakened after unexpected environmental events such as the COVID-19 pandemic, it is crucial to identify the current status and level of change and explore various ways to improve it. This study compares the annual and gender differences in career decision-making self-efficacy among middle and high school students in Gwangju City from 2019 to 2021. The results indicate a gradual increase in career decision-making self-efficacy among both middle and high school students, with varying rates of increase depending on gender and school grade. Notably, male students demonstrate higher career decision-making self-efficacy compared to female students, suggesting greater confidence in their career choices. Moreover, the study reveals that the COVID-19 pandemic has the potential to impact the career decision-making self-efficacy of middle and high school students. This research will contribute to the development of educational policies and programs aimed at enhancing career decision-making self-efficacy among middle and high school students nationwide. Additionally, it will provide guidance for diverse educational services, programs, and school-based career education initiatives to support adolescents' career decision-making process.
