국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 그릿과 창의성 요소 간의 구조적 관계를 살펴보는 데 있다. 이를 위해 수도권에 위치한 교육대학교의 1학년부터 4학년까지의 학생 299명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 그릿, 창의적 성향, 창의적 사고의 상호관련성과 세 변수들의 구조적 관계를 살펴보았다. 연구가설은 그릿이 창의적 성향과 창의적 사고를 예측할 것이라고 설정하였으며, 이 가설을 검증한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 그릿, 창의적 성향, 창의적 사고의 요소들은 서로 정적인 상관관계를 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 그릿이 창의적 성향을 정적으로 예측하고, 이어 창의적 성향이 창의적 사고를 정적으로 예측하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 변수들의 관계에서 창의적 성향은 그릿과 창의적 사고를 매개하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구의 결과는 창의성의 발현과정에서 열정과 노력의 그릿이 중요한 특성으로 작용할 가능성이 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore and a structural relationship between grit, creative disposition and creative thinking. A total of 299 undergraduate students (freshmen to senior students) in a college of education located in a large urban area participated in the study. I examined the interrelations among factors of grit, creative disposition and creative thinking and a structural relationship among latent variables of interest. I hypothesized that grit would predict creative disposition and creative thinking. Results showed that first, grit, creative disposition, and creative thinking were positively correlated. Second, grit positively predicted creative disposition, which in turn, predicted creative thinking. Third, the creative disposition was found to mediate the relation between grit and creative thinking. The results suggest that grit can play an important role in creative processes as a trait-level passion and perseverance.
