국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 CoRT 기법을 활용한 유아 사고교육 프로그램이 진행되는 동안 유아의 상위수준 사고의 변화를 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 대구광역시에 위치한 S유치원의 만 5세반 유아 21명(남 11명, 여 10명)이다. 이들을 대상으로 CoRT 기법을 활용한 유아 사고교육 프로그램을 16동안 총 40회 실시하였다. 본 연구에서는 활동결과물인 유아들이 기록한 문제해결방법의 내용을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 프로그램이 진행될수록 상위수준의 사고인 비판적 사고, 창의적 사고, 배려적 사고에서 의미 있는 긍정적인 변화가 나타났다. 유아들은 점차적으로 문제 해결의 목적을 파악하고, 객관적이고 합리적인 판단을 근거로 타인의 배려하는 가치가 내포된 다양하고 새로운 해결방법을 제시하였다. 그리고 유아들은 상위수준 사고인 비판적 사고, 창의적 사고, 배려적 사고를 개별적으로 활용하다가 점차적으로 맥락에 적합하게 통합적으로 활용하였다. 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 유아기의 상위수준의 사고교육에 대한 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in higher-order thinking of young children's thinking using CoRT skills. The subjects of this study consisted of 21 five-year-old children(male 11, female 10) at S kindergarten in Daegu city. They participated in the young children’s thinking education program using CoRT skills 40 times over 16 weeks. Data were analyzed by content analysis about the problem solving methods suggested by subjects. The results of this study were as follows. The children’s showed the meaningful and positive changes in their higher-order thinking as the program progressed. In other words, they gradually understood the objectives and proposed the various and new problem solving methods included with value of care based on an objective and rational decision. And they utilized more integrated higher-order thinking as combined with critical thinking, creative thinking and caring thinking to find appropriate problem solving methods depending on given contexts. The implication of young children’s higher-order thinking education was discussed based on the results of this study.
