기독교 유아교사의 신앙성숙도와 빈곤에 대한 사고와의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 기독교 신앙을 가지고 있는 교사를 대상으로 하여 그들의 신앙성숙 정도가 빈곤에 대한 사고와 어떠한 관련이 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울, 경기지역에 위치한 교회 부설 어린이집과 유치원, 선교원 등의 기독교 유아교사 239명이었다. 연구결과는 첫째, 교사의 신앙성숙도가 높을수록 빈곤에 대해 우호적이며 긍정적인 사고를 나타냈다. 둘째, 기독교 유아교사의 신앙성숙도(교리적, 신앙적, 인격적)가 빈곤에 대한 사고를 예측하는데 설명력이 있으며, 특히 인격적 측면의 신앙성숙은 빈곤에 대한 사고를 예측함에 있어 매우 높은 설명력을 가지고 있는 변인으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 본 연구를 통해 기독교 유아교사의 신앙성숙도가 빈곤에 대한 사고와 관련성을 가지고 있으며, 신앙성숙도가 높은 교사는 빈곤에 대해 우호적이며 빈곤의 원인을 사회구조적 문제로 인식하는 경향으로 긍정적 사고를 가지고 있음이 밝혀졌다. 또한 신앙성숙도가 빈곤에 대한 사고를 예측하는 변인임을 알 수 있다. 이러한 결과는 기독교 유아교사로서의 신앙과 사고를 점검하는 기회를 삼고 빈곤에 기인한 직·간접의 영향 속에 있는 유아에게 사회적 지지자로서의 교사 역할을 위한 태도함양 모색의 기초 자료를 제공할 것으로 본다.

영문 초록

This study was designed to investigate relations between the degree of faith maturity and thinking toward poverty among Christian early childhood teachers. More Specifically, the purpose of this study is to assess the teachers with Christian faith, thus providing Christian early childhood teachers with basic data for checking their faith and thinking and enhancing their attitudes for their roles as social supporters to young children under direct and indirect influence of poverty. The subjects for this study consisted of 239 Christian early childhood teachers working for child care centers and kindergartens attached to churches and missionary nursery schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The findings of this study were as follows: First, Christian early childhood teachers recorded the highest degree of faith maturity in the doctrine, faith, and personality aspect in the descending order. Second, they showed a favorable and positive thinking toward poverty when their faith maturity was high. Third, their faith maturity had explanatory power to predict their thinking toward poverty. Their faith maturity in the personality aspect, in particular, exhibited very high explanatory power to predict their attitudes toward poverty. In conclusion, Christian early childhood teachers' faith maturity had relations with their thinking toward poverty.
