초등 영재의 비판적 사고 특성

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등영재의 비판직 사고 특성을 밝히고 비판적 사고가능과 비판적 사고성향간의 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 초등영재 ll8명으로 초등 수학영재 40 명, 초등 언어영재 40 명, 초등 과학영재 38 명으로 구성된다. 본 연구에서 사용된 비판적 사고기능과 사고성향 검사는 각각 Ennis & Millman(l986) 이 제작한 Cornell Critical Thinl<.ing Test Level X와 박선환(1998) 의 검사를 초등학생에 맞게 재구성 한 것이다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 영역별 영재의 비판적 사고기능 은 다변량분석에서는 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았으나 각 하위요인을 독립변인으로 하는 단변량분석에서는 연역추리에 있어 언어영재가 과학영재보다 높은 점수를 나타내었다. 둘째, 영역별 영재의 비판적 사고성향은 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학년별 영재의 비판직 사고기능은 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 학년별 영재의 비판적 사고성향 차이는 다변량분석에서는 유의미한 결과가 나타나지 않았으나, 각 하위요인을 독립변인으로 한 단변량 분석에서 5 학년에 비해 6학년이 객관적 성향이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 영재의 비판적 사고기능과 비판적 사고성향과의 관계는 정적상관과 부적상관이 모두 나타났으며, 유의미한 상관이 나타나지 않았다. 이러한결과는초등영재의 비판적 사고특성 분석과함께 초등영재의 비판적 사고 훈련 프로그램 개발의 기초 자료로서의 중요성을 가진다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study were: 1 ) to investigate differences of critical thinking among the mathematic gifted, language gifted, and science gifted by comell critical thinking test level X(Ennis & Millman, 1986) and critical thinking disposition inventory(park, 1998). 2) to investigate differences ofcritical thinking between school years(5th and 6th). 3) to investigate the relationship between critical thinking ability and critical thinl<.i.ng disposition of the gifted children. Subjects for this study were 138 elementary school gifted who consisted of the mathematic gifted(40), language gifted(40), and science gifted(38). To analyze the critical thinl<.i.ng characteristics, two instruments were used: Cornell Critical Thinking Test level X(Ennis & Millman, 1986) and Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory(park, 1998) . The result from this study were as follow: First, there was significant difference of critical thinl<.i.ng ability between language and science gifted in deduction, language gifted were higher than science gifted in deduction. But differences of critical disposition among the gifted of three areas was not found. Second, there was not significant difference of critical thinking ability between 5th and 6th. But there was significant difference in objectivity of critical thinking dispositions between 5th and 6th, 6th were higher than 5th in objectivity. Third, there was no significant differences between critical thinking ability and critical thinl<.i.ng disposition of the gifted children.
