국문 초록

저출생·고령화의 심화에 따라 사망자수가 출생아수보다 많아지는 인구의 자연감소는 2020년 최초로 발생했으며, 현재까지 지속되고 있다. 인구 감소가 지속적으로이루어지고 있는 반면에 1인 가구의 비율은 증가하고 있다. 2000년 우리나라 전체가구 중 1인가구가 차지하는 비중은 15% 수준이었는데, 2021년에는 33%로 늘어 우리나라의 주된 가구 유형으로 자리 잡았다. 1인가구 증가의 원인은 소득 수준 증가, 실업, 고령화, 혼인에 대한 태도의 변화 등이 주요한 것이다. 따라서 1인가구의 실태를 파악하고 이에 대한 적절한 대책을 수립하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 1인가구의 현황과 1인가구의 범죄에 대한 두려움에 영향을 미치는 요소를 파악하였다. 분석결과 성별과 연령이 범죄에 대한 두려움에 영향을 미치는 주요 요소인 것으로 나타났다. 이를 토대로 성별, 세대별 맞춤형 1인가구 정책을 제시하고자 하였다. 다만본 연구는 2차 자료를 활용하였기 때문에 변수의 선정과 활용에 제약이 있었다. 향후연구에서는 연구 목적에 적합한 자료를 수집할 필요가 있으며, 1인가구 주민 및 전문가들을 대상으로 한 심층 인터뷰가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Due to the deepening of the low birth rate and aging population, the natural decrease in the number of deaths, which is higher than the number of births, occurred for the first time in 2020, and has continued to this day. While the population is continuously decreasing, the proportion of single-person households is increasing. In 2000, single-person households accounted for 15% of all households in Korea, but increased to 33% in 2021, becoming the main type of household in Korea. The main causes of the increase in single-person households are an increase in income level, unemployment, aging, and changes in attitudes toward marriage. Therefore, it is important to understand the status of single-person households and establish appropriate measures for them. In this study, the current status of single-person households and factors influencing the fear of crime in single-person households were identified. As a result of the analysis, it was found that gender and age were the main factors influencing fear of crime. Based on this, it was intended to present a customized single-person household policy by gender and generation. However, since this study used secondary data, there were limitations in the selection and use of variables. In future studies, it is necessary to collect data suitable for the purpose of research, and in-depth interviews with residents and experts of single-person households should be conducted.
