대면 및 비대면 환경에 따른 좋은 수업에 대한 학습자 인식 비교 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 대면과 비대면 환경에서 대학생이 인식하는 좋은 수업의 요소를 비교 분석하고자 한다. 이에 이 연구에서는 충북소재의 K대학에서 2018년-2021년 4년동안 수강한 정규 교과목 중 추천하고 싶은 강의에 대해 ‘좋은 강의 에세이’ 공모전에 출품한에세이 108편을 주제별분석을 활용하여 질적분석하였다. 그 결과, 좋은 강의의 주된 요소는 교수자, 수업운영, 수업결과로 나타났다. 교수자 측면에서 살펴보면, 비대면 환경에서는 교수자와 학습자의 상호작용, 교수자의 전문성이 대면 환경에서보다 언급 비율이 높았으나, 교수자 태도에 대한 언급 비율은 대면 및 비대면 환경에서 차이가 없었다. 수업 운영 측면에서 살펴보면, 대면 환경의 학습자들이 비대면 환경의 학습자보다 교수매체, 수업분위기, 학습환경에 대해 언급 비율이 높았다. 교수방법에 있어서는 PBL활용비율이 대면 환경이 비대면 환경보다 매우 높았다. 수업 결과 측면에서 살펴보면, 강의수강 후 변화에 대한 언급 비율이 대면 환경 학습자가 비대면 환경 학습자보다 약간 높았다. 성취 경험에 대한 언급 비율은 대면 환경 학습자가 비대면 환경의 학습자보다 매우 높았다. 이 연구결과는 대면 및 비대면 환경에서 학습자가 인식하는 좋은 수업에 대한 공통점과 차이점을 보여줌으로써, 향후 대학 교수자들이 교수 실행을 촉진할 수 있는 전략을 제시하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This study examines and compares the elements of good classes perceived by college students in face-to-face and non-face-to-face environments. For this study, a total of 108 essays submitted to the ‘Good Lecture Essay contest’ about the regular courses taken for 4 years from 2018 to 2021 were analyzed qualitatively by using thematic analysis. Three main themes, instructor, class operation, and class effects, were identified. First, looking at the aspect of the instructor, the number of mentions on instructor’s professionalism and interaction between instructor and learners in non-face-to-face environment were higher than in the face-to-face environment. Second, in term of class operation, learners in the face-to-face environment were more likely to mention the instructional media, the class atmosphere, and the learning environment than the learners in the non-face-to-face environment. For teaching methods, learners in the face-to-face environment were more likely to mention PBL than the learners in the non-face-to-face environment. Finally, in terms of class effects, the ratio of learners mentioning ‘achievement experience’ in face-to-face environment was somewhat higher than in non-face-to-face environment. This study suggests a strategy for future university instructors to promote teaching practice by providing the commonalities and differences of good classes perceived by learners in face-to-face and non-face-to-face environments.
