국문 초록

본 연구는 공학계열 대학생의 학습공동체 활동과 핵심역량 간에 기초학습능력 자기평가와 학습참여 수준의 매개효과를 검증하여 교수-학습지원 방안에 대한 시사점을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 2021년 NASEL(National Assessment of Student Engagement in Learnin)에 참여한 충남 소재 S대학 공학계열 대학생 311명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 이를 검증하기 위해 구조방정식 모형(SEM: Structural Equation Modeling)을 활용하였으며, 적합도 지수를 산출하고, 간접효과의 통계적 유의성을 확인하기 위해 부트스트래핑을 사용하였다. 다중 매개효과의 간접효과 검증을 위해서 팬텀변수를 사용해 모형을 변형한 후 분석하였다. 분석결과, 공학계열 대학생의 학습공동체 활동은 인지 및 비인지적 핵심역량에 직접적인 영향을 미칠뿐 아니라 기초학습능력 자기평가와 학습참여를 매개로 간접적으로도 핵심역량에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 공학계열 대학생의 핵심역량을 증진시킬 수 있도록 학습자 수준에 맞는 학습공동체 활동 지원, 기초학습능력을 지원하는 비교과 프로그램 운영 등 교수-학습 지원방안에 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide implications for teaching-learning support measures by verifying the mediating effect of basic learning ability self-assessment and learning engagement level between learning community activities and core competencies of engineering college students. To this end, 311 engineering college students from S University in Chungnam who participated in NASEL in 2021 were analyzed. To verify this, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used, the goodness-of-fit index was calculated, and bootstrapping was used to check the statistical significance of indirect effects. And Phantom Variable was utilized for verification of indirect influence of a multi mediating effects. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the learning community activities of engineering college students not only directly affect cognitive and non-cognitive core competency, but also indirectly affect core competency through basic learning ability self-evaluation and learning engagement. Based on the results of this study, teaching-learning support measures such as supporting learning community activities suitable for the learner level and operating comparative programs to support basic learning skills were suggested to improve core competency for engineering college students.
