국문 초록

本研究では日本に就職を希望する韓国の大学生を対象に、日本語ディベート授業でシミュレーション教材「ひょうたん島問題」を使用し、マジョリティとマイノリティの立場を理解していくことを目的とした。様々な多文化共生問題を論題として扱い、学生たちの多文化共生に対する意識について報告する。日本語ディベート授業を行う前は多文化共生という言葉の意味をほとんどの学生が理解していなかったが、授業後は多文化共生とは何かを多くの学生が理解できたことが示唆された。韓国で外国人が増えることについてよい点は、多様な文化交流、幅広い思考の獲得、経済的な発展、国際的地位の向上の4つのカテゴリーが抽出され、外国人が増えることでよくない点は、伝統文化喪失の危惧、外国人への諸問題、韓国人への悪影響、治安悪化の4つのカテゴリーが抽出された。外国人と共に暮らすことについては、否定的な立場や無感情というカテゴリーが肯定的な変化や多面的な発見というカテゴリーに経過していったことから、今まで画一的であった外国人に対するイメージが、日本語ディベートの授業後には多角的なイメージに変化していったことを示した。外国で暮らしていくようになったら必要だと思うことについては、現地文化の理解と尊重、現地語でのコミュニケーション能力、実行力、内面の強さの4つのカテゴリーが抽出された。外国人が増えることのメリットとデメリットを理解することで、外国人と共に暮らす中で発生する大小様々な問題に対応しやすくなることが示唆された。学生たちが外国で暮らすことについて今まで漠然と考えていたことが、外国人が増えることと外国人と共に暮らすことを意識し理解することによって、現実に自分が外国で暮らすことになったら何が本当に必要になってくるのかを強く意識した結果を示した。授業を通して学生たちは、韓国で住んでいるときには意識することがなかったマジョリティの立場を改めて意識し、マイノリティに対する否定的な考えから肯定的な考えや多面的で幅広い考えに変化したことが示唆された。

영문 초록

In this study, various multicultural issues were dealt with as the topic of a Japanese debate class using a simulation textbook (book titled “Hyotan Island Problem”) targeting Korean university students who want to work in Japan. The purpose of this study is to help university students understand the position of majority and minority in Japan and Korea through Japanese debate classes, and also to reveal how students' consciousness toward multicultural coexistence changes. Although most of the students had never heard the meaning of multicultural coexistence before the Japanese debate class, they were able to understand the meaning of multicultural coexistence after the Japanese debate class. The advantages of increasing foreigners in Korea can be divided into four categories: exchange of diverse cultures, acquisition of broad thinking, economic development, and improvement of international status. The disadvantages of the increase in foreigners can be divided into four categories: loss of traditional culture, various problems for foreigners, adverse effects on Koreans, and deterioration of public security. It was estimated that the uniform image of foreigners could be changed into a multifaceted image because the consciousness of symbiosis with foreigners was changed from the category of negative attitude and the category of insensitivity to the category of positive change and the category of multi󰠏faceted discovery. The things necessary for living abroad can be divided into four categories: understanding and respect for local culture, communication ability in the local language, execution ability, and inner strength. By understanding the advantages and disadvantages of the increase in foreigners, it was suggested that it would be easier to respond to various problems caused by symbiosis with foreigners. What students had vaguely thought about living in a foreign country until now turned out to be strongly conscious of what they really needed if they actually lived in a foreign country. Through the Japanese debate class, it was suggested that the students became conscious of the position of majority, which they were not aware of when they lived in Korea, and that they were changing from negative thoughts about minority to positive thoughts or multifaceted and broad thoughts.
