국문 초록

2000년 초부터 급격히 시작된 한국의 다문화 사회화는 더욱 심화할 것이 예견된다. 2008년부터 다문화가정 방문교육지도사는 국내로 이주하는 결혼이주여성과 자녀를 돌보는 역할을 맡고 있다. 본 연구는 한국 다문화 정책을 위하여 다문화가족 방문교육지도사의 생애에서 그들의 직업 경험을 살펴보았다. 이를 위한 연구문제로는 방문교육지도사로서 직업 경험과 그 의미는 어떠한가? 이다. 이를 위해 10년 이상 방문교육지도사로 활동한 중년여성 3명을 선정하고, 2022년 2월 11일부터 3월 22일까지 심층 면담을 진행하였다. 수집된 자료는 만델바움(1973)의 생애사 연구방법인 삶의 영역, 전환점, 적응의 3차원으로 분석하였다. 아울러 이러한 직업 활동 경험이 그들에게 어떠한 의미가 있는지를 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 삶의 영역은‘묵묵히 순응함’, 전환점은‘제3 연령기 2차 성장’, 그리고 적응은‘꿈의 실현’으로 도출되었다. 즉 방문교육지도사는 삶 속 지식과 경험을 발휘하며 본 역할을 수행하고 있었다. 또한, 이들의 생애사에는 중년기에 학사학위를 받는 등 2차 성장이 나타났고, 방문교육지도사를 통해 청소년기 꿈을 실현하고 있었다. 중년여성의 생애에서 방문교육지도사로서의 직업 경험은 심화하는 다문화 정책을 수립하고, 이 직업에 대한 진로를 결정하는 데 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

Multicultural socialization in Korea, which started rapidly in the early 2000s, is expected to intensify further. Since 2008, visiting educators for multicultural families have been in charge of caring for married immigrant women and children who migrate to Korea. For Korea's multicultural policy, this study examines the occupational experiences of multicultural family visiting educators. As a research question for this, what is the job experience as a visiting educator and what is its meaning? To this end, three people who have worked as visiting educators for more than 10 years were selected, and in-depth interviews were conducted from February 11 to March 22, 2022. The collected data were analyzed in the three dimensions of life area, turning point, and adaptation, which is Mandelbaum's (1973) life history research method. In addition, this study looked into what these occupational experiences meant for them. As a result of the study, the life area was 'silently adapting', the turning point was 'secondary growth at the third age', and the adaptation was 'the dream comes true'. For example, visiting educators were performing this role by demonstrating their knowledge and experiences in life. In addition, secondary growth appeared in their life history, such as receiving a bachelor's degree in middle age, and they were making their dreams of adolescence come true through visiting educators. It is expected that the occupational experience of a middle-aged woman visiting educator in her life will help establish a multicultural policy to deepen and determine a occupational path for this profession.
