특성화고 학생들의 현장실습 부적응 경험에 관한 연구

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 특성화고 현장실습 부적응 학생들을 대상으로 학교에서 기업으로 이행되는 현장실습에 대한 경험 과정을 분석하여 현장실습 과정에서 발생하는 중심현상과 영향을 미치는 조건을 구명함으로써, 현장실습 관련 정책을 구성하는데 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 3회에 걸친 FGI 면접에 13명의 특성화고 학생들이 참여하였다. 전사한 면접 자료를 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩의 단계로 근거이론의 분석 방법에 따라 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 특성화고 현장실습 부적응 학생들의 경험을 분석한 결과 120개의 의미 단위와 43개의 하위 범주, 16개의 범주가 도출되었다. 둘째, 특성화고 학생들은 ‘현장실습 목적에 대한 이해 부족’, ‘현장실습 과정에 대한 인식 결여’, ‘현장실습에 대한 정보 비대칭성’으로 현장실습을 경험하는 과정에서 ‘현장실습 기업에서의 부적응’이라는 중심현상이 나타났다. ‘전공-직무 내용 불일치’, ‘전공-직무 수준 불일치’, ‘기업현장교육 방법의 비체계성’, ‘기업현장교사의 교육 일관성 결여’, ‘기업 외적 환경 여건 차이’와 같은 맥락적 조건은 특성화고 학생들의 ‘현장실습 기업에서의 부적응’에 영향을 미치고 이를 야기한다. 그러나 ‘기업 내적 환경 여건 차이’, ‘학교 선생님의 관심 영향’이 중심현상을 중재하는 것으로 나타났으며, 학생들은 ‘현장실습에서 직면한 어려운 감정 경험’, ‘현장 적응을 위한 노력’, ‘배움과 성장이 있는 교육에 의한 자각’ 등을 통해 현장실습 기업에 적응하기 위해 노력하였다. 이를 통해 ‘자신의 직무 역량 수준 발견’, ‘사회적 역량 향상 인지’, ‘진로결정의 변화’의 결과가 나타났다. 셋째, 특성화고 학생들의 현장실습 부적응 경험 과정은 현장실습 과정에서 나타나는 ‘현장실습 기업에서의 부적응’이라는 중심현상이 시간이 지남에 따라 ‘당황과 불안 단계’ → ‘적응 노력과 자각 단계’ → ‘역량 발견과 향상 인지 단계’ → ‘진로결정 단계’의 4단계 순서로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the experience of process of field training from school to company for students who are maladjusted to field training at Vocational High Schools, and to identify the central phenomena that occur in the field training process and the conditions that affect them. By doing so, it aims to provide the basic data necessary for constructing policies related to field training. Thirteen students from a vocational high school participated in three FGI interviews to this end. The transcribed interview data were analyzed through the process of open, axial, and selective coding according to the data analysis method of the grounded theory. The results are as follows. Firstly, As a result of analyzing experiences of students maladapted to field training at Vocational High Schools, 120 semantic units, 43 subcategories, and 16 categories were derived. Secondly, a central phenomenon of maladjustment in companies during the process of field training for vocational high school students appeared in the form of a lack of awareness of field training purpose, lack of a sense of process during field training, and information asymmetry about field practice. Maladjustment in field training of vocational high school students could be caused by contextual conditions such as education and subject mismatch, job mismatch, unsystematicity of training method at a company, lack of educational consistency of teachers for field training, and differences in the external environment. In fact, the central phenomenon was meditated by the difference in internal environmental conditions at the company and the influence of school teachers. In contrast, students tried to adapt themselves to field training companies through challenging emotional experiences during field training, an effort for field adaptations, and awareness by education with learning and growth. These efforts led them to realize their job competency level, social competency improvement, and change in career decisions. Finally, the central phenomenon of maladjustment at the company, which occurs as empirical process of maladjustment to field training by students of vocational high school, appeared in four stages over time: 'Frustrated and Anxious stage’→'Adaptive effort and Awareness stage’→'Capacity discovery, and Improved cognitive stage’→'Career decision stage'.
